Tags are the text that appears under your username on the left when you post. There are defaults based on how many posts you have. You can also set your own.

The Tag Fairy is very mysterious. S/he appears at strange times, usually when something very odd has been posted The Tag Fairy then takes that and makes it your tag, and gives it color and sometimes animation. However, you CANNOT then put your own tag in - it will wipe out the Tag Fairy's work, and they don't like that...

It has nothing to do with post count - it's being seen at the right time (or wrong time...)

The Tag Fairy is someone (we're still trying to figure out who... even though the WMs know) who colors the titles under each of our names. If you notice mine, someone tagged me with Techarita, and then a fellow DISer (teen) gifted me with the star on the mountain tag.

He/she hangs around a lot on the Community Board and sometimes we get hit with Fly-by tagging here.
