I have 6 people in my party and we all have FPs for Space Mountain. Half of us want to change that to another attraction. How do I do that on MDE without losing our 2 other scheduled FPs?
Just because you don't know how to do it, doesn't mean it "sucks". Here is how you do it:
1) Click Update FastPass+
2) Click Change Experience
3) Select a new experience
4) UNCHECK the people that you do NOT want to change to the new experience
5) Click Update
But it doesn't know what rides are available until it knows how many people you are trying to reserve for. It still has to be a multi-step process.
Pro Tip: If you have a party of 8 and are trying to change 4 people, it is going to show you what is available for 8. If you don't see what you want, just select anything else for your party of 4. Then go in and update the party of 4 reservation and see if anything else is available. The key is to "split up" your party first.
Like the dining site, where you can say "party of 4 at 6:00" and it says " I don't have 6:00, how about 5:45 or 6:15?" Yeah. I've done it, know HOW to do it. That doesn't mean it doesn't suck.

Hey now. There's no room for that type of attitude. Don't you know if you don't like things about FP+ it's because you "don't understand it". That's Disney law son.

FP is different because you need a valid park ticket before you can even get into seeing what is available.
How would you know WHICH fastpass you were removing them from? I agree for making a new reservation, your way makes more sense (but there is a reason why Disney doesn't want this. They want to spread the newbs out). But once you already have a FP, the system needs to be very careful that you don't accidentally mess it up.

The OP said the way to change "sucked" but didn't know how to change it. She didn't understand it. @cgattis thinks it sucks, and that is fine. He was basing it on experience. For me, I think the way you SELECT FP+ sucks. But I think the way you change them is just fine.
