Has anyone ever ordered anything from The Swiss Colony? They send catalogues every year filled with the most marvelous foods and wonderful candy. My mom used to order from The Swiss Colony food baskets for my grandparents and they loved them and my mom and I used to like their cheeses too

I used to love getting those catalogs! We've gotten Christmas gifts that people sent from there in the last few years, and everything was yummy.

I remeber seeing their booth during the holidays walking around the Malls . I was tempted but don’t think I ever purchased any gift food items . , I will check out their online catalog! Thanks
I wish I had the SEEs catalog for the holidays since I never visit California anymore .

I received a box of *goodies* as a gift at Christmas. Honestly, everything is tiny as in *bite* size as the photos are a bit misleading. My parents ordered several gifts and there were multiple errors on shipping with boxes going to the wrong people and no effort made to correct the mistakes despite my Dad on the phone with them. Perhaps it was a one off, but they are not planning to order again.

I used to order Christmas presents from them for people that lived far away from me. The people that received these items always said the items were good, and these are people that would have been honest with me if the items were 👎🏻

This was my experience, too, a number of years ago.

Items in their mall outlets were the sizes you'd expect. I used to buy from one of their stores so was very disappointed by the tiny sizes I received in the gift box.

I never thought that their products were very good. We used to buy from Hickory Farms when they were in the mall. My favorite place to buy goodies for the holidays is Sunnyland Farms.

Pricey and tiny portions is what I can recall. Pictures in the catalog are misleading and make the product seem much larger then they actually are. Cheese spreads, for example, were probably large enough for only 2-3 servings. Parents used to get those catalogs and occasionally order various things. They stopped ordering from them years ago. You are better off going to a local mall/store or one of those kiosks that appear at certain times of the year and you can see the size of the product. Even larger grocery stores will have holiday displays that are much more economical. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from their catalog.

They used to have a brick and mortar. You'd get much more for your money buying out of the cold case than you would those boxed gift kits which were very pricey for what was in them and the portions thereof. I'd love to go in for samples It has been years since I've seen a Swiss Colony brick and mortar though.

I suggest Harry & David instead.

Their products--catalog, website, store--are the same everywhere. The stores often sell more stocking stuffer-sized small bags of candies and snack mixes, but gift boxes and baskets are the same as catalog and website ones.

Their fresh fruit is wonderful--fat, juicy pears and apples--YUM.

Sunnyland Farms has the BEST mixed nut assortment. The Heavenly Mix is my favorite! Their chocolates are great, too! I like that you can buy in gift tins as well as home boxes when you don't need the fancy packaging. Highly recommended!

They have a brick and mortar store in Monroe, WI. Although that part of WI has a lot of cheese stores. I would also recommend that you check out New Glarus if you are ever in the area.

And for the architecture buffs, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin is about an hour away if you haven’t fallen into a cheese coma.

We order their assorted cookies every year for Christmas, along with an assortment of chocolate from Godiva and summer sausages and cheeses from Hickory Farms.

A long time ago I used to order their petit fours and tortes, but they always came super dried out and stale. The tortes were so dry that they'd crumble to pieces if you tried to slice them. I once got a box of 24 petit fours for free when I made a regular order and they were all stale. Haven't ordered anything from them since.

My mother has ordered their cheese spreads for years usually around Christmas. They're really tasty, and she always makes sure she orders some for me, since I always loved them back when I lived at home. :)
