Like many of you I heard the podcast but unlike most of you I cried. To hear the warm and love in all the comments lifted my spirits. I especially loved hearing the part about my husband on the cruise -- he really is a special guy.
Chemo#5 is complete. I am sick from the treatment but elated with the doctor's news. When my doctor said REMISSION I looked at Michael and saw tears. This was so much better then when we first got the news of my cancer and I watched Michael's face turn grey. I have a ways to go but I know I can get thru the last 3 chemo sessions. I will still need to deal with having the bone heal in my leg but that seems like a small problem right now. Luckily my heart/lung condition has not been weakened by the chemo treatment. Michael believes this is a miracle. I have to agree.
I am determined to be on the February ABD trip and will hopefully see our Los Angeles DISers friends while we are in the area.
Thank you all for your prayers & good thoughts. They surround me & continue to envelop me in your kindness and love. They help me maintain a positive attitude. If you ever thought that your comments don't matter in this crazy land we call the DIS boards I am LIVING proof that they do.
Lastly remember that there are many many children who are dealing with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. If you haven't made a donation to the Power of 10 -- Give Kids The World challenge please consider doing it. It might just be the thing that gives a child their miracle.
Love to all,
Carol
