The Sweet Meet - Dis'ers do Hershey

Funny enough, there is a Fudruckers about 20 minutes away from us, but we've never been. We would be up for that if that is what the majority wants!

oooh, haven't been to a Fuddrucker's in a few years! That would be cool. But then, Applebee's has REALLY good wings.... decisions, decisions...... Can I throw a vote in for both?

I'm not a big fan of Red Robin either but I'll do whatever the group wants to do!! Fuddruckers sounds fun though!!

Here is a quick and dirty list I got via Google Maps. There are many more but somehow I picked these. Some had reviews. These are all on the way from Comfort Suites to Hershey Park. Starting with closest to the hotel.

I'll be back to provide links later.

Chatter Box Cafe
Palmero's Pizzeria
Soda Jerk Diner & Dairy Bar
Boro Bar & Grill
Bob Evans
Applebee's
Panera Bread
Dafno's Italian Grill

After dinner are we headed to the park? Roller Coasters after dinner... could be interesting.:scared1:

Hi Mark
I believe the plan is to go to dinner and get into the park for the preview. We can get into the park at 7:30pm so we would need to finish dinner by then.

I've been to most of the restaurants, so it doesn't really matter too much to us. Dafno's is awesome if you like Italian or brick oven pizzas, but it is kind of a small place. We'd still list it as our #1 choice though! :)

We'd probably go anywhere the group chooses.

Going back and looking at some of the restaurants in my previous list, some appear to be more that vacation casual. Would still like to try one but not as a big group.

While I just threw Fuddruckers in the list, it looks like one of the better choices for families and we can probably call ahead to have seating for the group reserved. And they have Exotic Fridays. I might be able to have me a wild boar, elk, or ostrich burger. :lovestruc

As someone who does Cedar Point commando and is forced to stop and eat, think of it like swimming. And besides, by the time we get from the restaurant to the park and through the line, your food should be settled.

Fuddruckers (at least around here) have large open dining areas that would be quite conducive to group dining. And it is easy to get separate checks for the multiple bills.

I'm the same way at Cedar Point! Those coasters are so awesome, i forget to eat during the day. One year I was close to heat exhaustion, that doesn't happen to me very often (that was the only time).

That is one thing that G is good for. He never forgets that we need to eat. I usually notice around 7pm or so that I haven't eaten anything all day. By then I am a hyrda.

I need to call Hershey park today... I'm assuming that if we purchased a two day Flex ticket that I can go there in the morning on Friday and leave and then come back at dinner and it would count only as one day.

We have not made up our mind yet as to a one or two day ticket.

Have to see where we can fit the Hershey Chocolate tour into this.

As long as you get a handstamp when you leave the park, you can re-enter that day and it would only count as one day. You just show the handstamp when you come back in. We have to do this as season pass holders too!

I saw that on the website, "Exotic Fridays" - wasn't quite sure what that meant until I read further :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thank you for the information. I was guessing it was a hand stamp but was going to call.

Thx a mint for the list, George! :thumbsup2

Our preferences; more or less in order:
  • Fuddruckers! (mmmm, cheese fries)
  • Devon Seafood (don't know this one, but we love seafood)
  • Red Robin (yum)

Seafood sounds good to us too! :goodvibes

And so does brick oven pizzas! :rotfl2:

Those are good points, Todd. With the one here, you pay when you place your order at a counter, and they call your number when the food is ready. The seating is open - think food court - so it's easy for a group.

We eat at Red Robins and Fuddruckers regularly :sad2: RR is always good for us :confused3 I'm not such a fan of Fuddruckers but DH loves it.

Wherever is chosen will be fine with us - we're really there to hang out anyways. I'll also have a hard time stopping DH from enjoying the Hershey Bakery & Soda shop which we'll probably check out before dinner :lmao:

cheers,
:flower3:

I told George, Katherine and John last week but just realized I forgot to post it here that I won't be able to come to Hershey :( My mom is having a minor medical procedure that Friday and has asked me to go with her. Nothing serious but she hates doctors, needles etc. When she set up the appointment she forgot that was a weekend I was going to be away and now she doesn't want to push it further out, she just wants it over and done with. I hope you all have a great time and maybe I will be able to join you for something in the future. And of course I will see many of you on the podcast cruise. :)

Sorry to hear this, Kim. Hope all goes smoothly for your mom pixiedust:

cheers,
:flower3:
