The SUV prices with Alamo dropped another $15!!

Just booked National. Thanks guys. I was origionally booked with Dollar for 177. week, but just for National for 143. week. Oh by the way, whats a Chevy Eqounox? Thats what I booked.. LOL 4 adults with carry on only. I assume we'll fit?

My 2 week ressie for April/May dropped again this morning $50!! can't believe it. We are going April 23-May 5 and the base rate for the mid-size SUV is now $94. OK, my daughter is going April 29-May 5 and her rate is $3 higher ($118 base weekly rate), so be warned, not everyone's rate dropped. I checked mine twice and still came up with $237 for a 2 week rental all taxes included. WOW

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, whenever I put those codes in on Alamo, The rate is about $60 more than what I'm paying now. I have the Equinox right now for $200 for 8 days.

The only time I have the concession fee still show up is if I'm booking a minivan. Don't know why. But I'll go check my ressie to see if it has changed. tks.

UPDATE; yes they added the concession fee to my reservation. Now I'll had to take a look at some other deals.

So, do you think they will charge the concession fee if you booked when it wasn't showing? I guess I can't complain, National is still giving me the best rate around. Plus, I probably can't cancel on such short notice (picking up Friday at 1:30pm).

n2mm, that's great that your rate went down again. I wonder why SUV's are coming up the cheapest?

It's tough running two trips at one time. I have the national ressie for my trip next week (Feb) and Alamo for my trip in April/May.

As for National, I'm sure that they will go by what THEIR total is, not mine. There is another thread going around and it seems to have happened to everyone. I guess I'll know next week, or at least on the 10th when I drop the car off and get my bill. National is really disappointment me lately and I've been a true fan for many years--we are Executive Aisle because we've used them so much. But, unless things change, it looks like we'll be in the Alamo line in April with so many other disboard members.

I love this board! I just saved $70 on my 10 day standard SUV rental for May, I am now paying 232.95 including taxes and fees. I used ID 430710 code BY and the $25 off entertainment book coupon code (you can use D42C for $15 off if you don't have the entertainment book) I also saved my parents $62 on their 6 day rental in April using ID 430710 code BY and the D42C coupon code for $15 off. Awesome!

I just got my 4 days down to $94 using the $25 Costco Coupon. The codes are ID# 7000201 and Coupon Code DX3B Expires 3/31/06 and valid on rental of at least 3 days. I am sure you have to be a costco member not for sure if they ask for the coupon or membership card but will find out this Saturday.

I don't have the Entertainment book yet, but can anyone tell me if that $25 coupon is good on a minivan?

I got my 15 day Equinox rental at Alamo in March down to $299.56 all taxes incl. using the Costco code and $25.00 off coupon as well. This is better than my Budget deal for for $288.00 for 14 days I had previously booked.

I have a convertible rented through Alamo for my April/May trip using the $25 off coupon from the Entertainment Book and the Walmart codes. The price seems to be going down at couple of dollars every few days. I booked it last Friday at $160, it went down to $146 on Monday and today it is $143. I am so excited!! :cool1:
