The Summer Resort Hotel Discount is Available!

We have rooms booked in July at PPH. I called today thinking the summer discount included our July dates but it didn’t. She said they do have an AP rate available only there are no rooms available. They can’t apply it to my reservation because rooms are sold out. I think she said the AP rates came out yesterday. Nice of them to offer an AP discount in theory but one that they “can’t “ actually give to me. It’s a joke.

So the AP rates came out yesterday, were instantly booked and no one in the Disney-Internet sphere said a thing. Is that normal?

The listing says, “travel must be completed by September 30, 2018.” We we’re planning on staying through October 1st. Does that mean we can’t get the deal at all?

We’ve had our check out date fall after the end of a promotion. We had to make 2 separate reservations. Which is kind of a pain because you have to make 2 deposits. If both reservations are for the same room type they will probably let you stay in the same room. When we checked in at the GC we had to settle our bill for the first reservation, and they gave us 2 sets of room keys with the different dates on them. It was worth the hassle to get the discount for 4 nights of our vacation.

I believe that if a hotel is booked solid, they do not offer the discount rate.

Not a single Disney hotel is booked solid for every day from now to the end of this year. And all AP rates were apparently been booked in the space of one day according to CMs and no one knows anyone who actually managed to get one. I’m not convinced they were even released at this point tbh.

Thanks for the feedback. It kind of sounds like a pain to book separately but probably worth it to get the discount.

I did chat with a cast member and they confirmed that you may not go outside those dates in the same reservation.

It might be that what rooms they had available, at a certain time, for the discount ie standard rooms, might have gone pretty quick, but who really knows.

It's probably the available rooms for the rate then. I called the day after they were released and was told they were booked solid for the standard rate.

Hurray! I was able to get the AP promo applied to my existing booking at the GCH for 8/10-8/13! The rate is actually the same, but now with the perks of FPs and $20 dining voucher. I'm happy!
