I don't know which kind of Disney explorer annoyed me more yesterday:

The Stop and Stare: Someone who stops in the middle of the walk way without giving warning so you almost walk right into their heels so they can stare at something, pull out a map, or say something to a friend. Pull over first. Walk as if your body has wheels and you're on I-4.

The Go Too Slow: It's fine if you want to walk slowly and take the park in..by all means..but don't take up the whole walkway so there is no way for us to get by you.

The Wall: A group of 4 or more walking side by side so there is no way you're ever getting around them.

Thank you.

Edit: I don't follow too closely to anyone...if you're going slowly, I go around you. I've never actually literally walked into the back of someone yet feel that the stop and stares who won't pull over, deserve a "flat tire". (Although I've personally never done it, it's sometimes tempting)

Oh I hear you!

Disny is full of things to stop and stare at, but please folks, remember there are 10, 20, 30 or so THOUSAND other people in the park. Just move a little to the side.

Not everyone plays at the same pace, and its a great thing about Disney, is you don't haveto, but for goodness sake, Allow others to play through so everyone can enjoy the game.

How about the "cut in front of our stroller like we're invisible" folks.

No matter how careful and slow I go, several, not one or two, but several people cut in front of our stroller like we are invisible and then when I hit them because I just couldn't stop in time, they look back and give me a dirty look.

It happens all the time.

I vote for the stop and stare as most annoying. It happens to us all the time. THe worst part is, someone abruptly stops and I bump them with my stroller, and then they look back like I did something wrong. I'm a very courteous stroller person, but when someone just stops in front of you without warning, there's not much you can do.

I AGREE!

One more pet peeve...when you are in line for food and there are like 2 or 3 people in front of you, GO AHEAD AND READ THE MENU WHILE YOU WAIT and know what you want BEFORE YOU GET TO THE REGISTER!!!!!

once, There was this family of like a dozen or so piddling around in line, and then when they got to the counter, THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT THEY WANTED!!!! we had to wait and wait and WAIT just so they could figure out what they wanted and they had a good 15 minutes to decide while we all were in line!!

The STop and Stare with strollers too....you bump into em EVERYTIME and they HURT!!!!!!!!!! :furious:

The go to slows or the wall people whoever are blocking progress.

We refer to them as a "Barricade Family" :teeth:

and they get my vote for the most annoying!!

I also wanted to add to my OP that in Epcot on Saturday night, I got run into by 2 wheelchairs and my friend's foot got literally run over by a ECV.

I know that wheelchairs are necessary and I know I was walking at a good pace.. so please please please :confused3 watch where you're going. I don't want to get a wheelchair because of someone in a wheelchair :rotfl:

People who stop in door ways or in front of cash registers to chat always aggrivate me. Also, folks who stand in front of the fast pass entrance, just kind of gawking, like "Hmm, what is this?". This seems to happen to me alot.

When I went for my senior trip, my best friend and her boyfriend at the time were quite possibly the SLOWEST walkers of all time. It drove me INSANE and they were in my group, so I tried to have a little patience. The go to slows are the worst!

I just love the folks who go through the turnstile and when they have gone through they stop dead in their feet. And for what????? Those who are behind them are stuck in the middle of the turnstile.

Of course, these people bother me at our local McDonald's/Wendy's/etc. drive thru and counter service lines. I never understand it. I always pretty much have a basic idea of what I want before heading to the fast food joint.

If I don't know what I want, I generally GO INSIDE and STAND BACK A WAYS while reading the sign instead of getting in line and wasting others time!.

If only others could figure this out...

I agree with you on "The Wall" and the "Go Too Slow" but I will make my stand on the "Stop and Stare." Try as I have over the years to refine my Jedi/Ninja skills, I have not been able to perfect the "see directly behind me" trick. If I stop and you bump into me, that means that you are in one of two equally annoying groups...The "Follow Too Closely" group, or the "Not Looking In The Direction You Are Walking Group." ;)

I promise to do my best to stay out of your way and not stop in the middle. But try to have a little compassion for those who go slow. Sometimes we can't help it and we're trying to have a good time, just like you.

The best one I experienced was waiting in line at I think it was Cosmic Rays and a lady in front of me as we reached the counter turns to her a child and says " go ask Dad what he wants to drink". I about fell over, luckily dad must not have been far away because the kid came back quick.

When it's wall to wall people and you stop and make me bump into you, that's not my fault :rolleyes1 Were you at Epcot on Saturday by any chance? It's also decent to not stop right in the middle of a lane so someone has to custom move according to what you are doing.

make me bump into you

How can I MAKE you do something when you are behind me, outside of my sphere of control??? :p

With that said...Sadly I have not been to Epcot for 11 days.

I stated it was fine with me that people walk slowly..I just don't want to be stuck behind them with no means to get by.

Well, you can't really follow the interstate "two-second" rule in a park like Disney, esp. on a really crowded day or in the really crowded areas. I usually assume someone is two paces behind me even though I'm a quick walker. If I need to look at a map or want to snap a pic, I'll move to the side as much as I can before I stop.

To be honest, the Stop and Stare offenders don't bother me too much. Think about it: these are mostly people that have never been to WDW before and are IN AWE. The place is huge, and much of the time they are just trying to find their way, and as they are, they see a million things that just captures their attention. I think we take our familiarity with Disney for granted sometimes. When I run across people doing this, I always try to remember that. Sometimes, I actually think their awe is funny or even touching. I remember feeling that way too when I first visited.

Now, 4-across (or more) people bug me, that is true. There's no need to take up the whole walkway with the whole clan. I think that can be helped with a little common courtesy.
