The state pin series...

So now that these state pins showed up at Disneyana for viewing, I'm worried. Hopefully as we learn more information I will become less worried, but...

Here's my worst case scenario. Each state only receives it's own state pin. The rumor of future shipments being dependent on sales are true. So states like Alaska which only has one Disney store could only get one box of pins because there aren't a lot of collectors. So the Alaska state pin could be a LE of 12!

I am hoping that neighboring states will get each other's pins. Like if WA got WA, Idaho, Alaska and Oregon since I'm not sure how we'd get Wyoming pins without any stores in Wyoming.

I even wonder if every state wil get a pin... Is there a Disney Store in every state? Like Vermont? Or even Maine?

They showed all 50 states pins at the Disney Company Showcase at the Disneyana Convention. Each state will only get their own pin.

Tell us Kathi, what did they look like? State maps? Flags? State Birds? Or characters??? Inquiring minds want to know, and I can't wait... I always opened my presents early too. I knew at age 7 how to pull that tape off and stick it back on with out ripping the paper. Peggie

I'm sorry Peggie!! I didn't mean to leave you in suspense. Each Pin is a Mickey (this I'm sure about) and he is holding a star (pretty sure ) with the state flag in it (this is there). Rhode Island was the anchor----and our motto "HOPE".

One of my friends had a camera and I think took a picture, I'll check with her and see if I can get it. When I went in, the Company Showcase was a zoo and you could hardly get around to the venues. They let too many people in at a time. The Disney Store booth was very crowded due to the fact that they previewed a great deal of new merchandise including some of the 100 Years of Magic Pins. There are some nice items coming out.

The # 100 Disney Store pin will include more than just 50 state pins. I have seen the list. You need to include 2 pins for Puerto Rico and Distict of Columbia (DC), and 1 pin for each Province of Canada (8-10 I believe)

I hope they come out before go to WDW in January. I think it would be great to buy a bunch of Nebraska's and trade 'em, even if it would be w/CM's!

Oh, I just have to get them all. Mickey on each pin. wow, I am excited. Just remember, no one heard me say I had to cut back pn pin buying this year. I think I said that in a dream. It couldn't have been me. Peggie

Hey Nat,
Maine has 2 Disney Stores that I know of - one in Bangor and one in Portland. We don't have a large populatipon, but we do have a few big malls. I'll trade you a Maine pin for a NH pin when they all get here.
