Hello,

Sorry to intrude on your boards. I have a 13 year old going into the Stack this year. In May we went to RCCL Mariner of the Sea and their teen program was very bad to put it nicely. Can you guys tell me something about the Stack? I want him to have a great time and the Mariners organizations in activities were so bad. He spent most of the time in the arcade and I went broke!

Anything you can tell me would be great!

Thanks,
Deb

I was on the Magic last October and it was my first time on the stack. They counselers are very nice and they want you to have a great time. I thought that there were some fun things to do, but I thought that the age group was a little too broad. Us younger teens liked doing scavenger hunts and things like that. Some of the older kids got bored with that.
There are a lot of fun things to do, but some of them are just boring. Well I hope that you have great time on your cruise and I hope that I helped a little.

Thanks Tiggerlvr! On the Mariner they offered a few activities but the few kids that showed up left because they never started the activity.

Hopefully he will have a good time. Any others who went to the Stack?

Thanks Again,
Deb

I just back from the 7/2 magic, and had a BLAST in the stack. True this is coming from a 17 year old girl, but still... there was plenty of younger teens. Actually, they were the majority. there was only a handful of older teens (16/17)... and don't worry, there was many boys.
The counselors are AWESOME. they knew everyone's names by the end of the first night. And there is always something to do... whether it be an organized activity, or just hanging around in the stack playing ps2. its so much fun.

DisneyGirl,

Thank you so much! You said the magic word "PS2". As long as they have video games it should be fine. While us girls like to chit chat, my son makes friends by playing video games. You have put my mind at ease.

Glad you had a good time on the 7/2 cruise. We had a couple of friends who attended that cruise. They also said they had an awesome time!

lol yepp... on a big screen tv too!
i jus saw ur countdown.. your going on the repo cruise? I'm so jealous! lol

Yes, we are! That's why I want him to hook up with some friends. I certainly don't want to entertain him for two weeks ;)

Thanks again guys! You're great!

Deb

This is once again from a seventeen-year-old girl, but I enjoy going to the Stack. The only thing with the 14-night is that there may not be a lot of kids/teens on there because of school. Most teens can't miss that much school. On the May 14-night cruise there were only about 25 instead of the usual 80-120 teens (and of course not all of those teens are there all of the time). Hopefully, though, he'll get to play PS2 all he wants! There are a lot of fun things to do like scavenger hunts, board games, Gotcha, dodgeball, excercise, trivia challenges, dance parties, movies and other stuff. I hope you guys enjoy it!

BTW, Stack hours are usually 12 noon - 2AM except on the on the first and last night they close at midnight. ;)
I so wish I was going too!
