I went over one morning to pool hop, since OKW doesn't have a slide yet and my kids were getting bored with the pool. I parked in the DVC center and walked to the pool. Found a few lounge chairs in the shade but right in front of the music speaker, not a big deal. Pool is a little on the small side. One side is zero entry which is nice for the little ones.
The slide was ok, nothing great. My dh and other adults were having trouble getting down it. It seems the heavier you are the slower you go
We did get the see the lifeguards jump in and save first a little girl then her brother because they're mother let them go down the little slide when they couldn't swim. After they pulled the little girl out, the mother took her out of the pool but didn't get the brother who proceeded to go down the slide and another lifeguard had to jump in to get him Neither one had on a life vest
Got hungry so went up to Artist Pallette to get lunch. Food was too "special" for me. Choices were salads, fish, pulled pork sandwich or for the kids, mac N cheese or mini hotdogs at $5.49 a pop!
We went back to the Turtle Pond pool at OKW and the kids had pizza and I had a Tuna sandwich which was delicious.
Also have to mention that the nice music that was playing when we got there was now playing techno-house-rap music. VERY annoying and loud. Not the kind of music you would expect during the day at a Disney pool
I think the BWV pool is much better.
