The Spicier the Better!?!?

I find that Disney panders to those who are afraid of spice. If you ask for hot sauce, my experience is that the best you'll get is a bottle of old Tabasco. However, the one exception is at Tokyo Dining. Order the volcano roll and it comes drizzled with the most delicious spicy mayo. Order extra and you'll be in hell-ven!

Does anyone have good reccomendations of spicy food items on Disney property? :)

I am a true southern girl, and I cook with spice and love I adore Creole and Cajun dishes and I hate to tell you that you won’t find the spicy stuff in WDW, Now many may say BOMA, but they are more into the sweet and savory, BOMA (dinner)seemed to use alot of cinnamon and very mild curry items and for me it just lacked any spice or heat and the food seemed to taste all the same, as I look at the menus at allears dot net it seems that the House of Blues DTD may be the closest thing and maybe Kat Cora's new place but not sure about that one she is an iron chef, but from a caterer's perspctive the restaurants at WDW are all pretty good! The only heat I found at WDW was that blaz N sun!:rotfl:

You hit that nail on the head about that bottle of Tabasco sauce where’s the Texas Pete, crystal, Louisiana hot, red hot, pepper sauce, habanera sauce, the chirachi sauce when u need it! and I was one that used to carry a little bottle of hot sauce in my purse gave it up I had to replace it with tums:rotfl:

I'm from Louisiana and I love hot foods. I always find this a problem at WDW. One thing that I recently found that curbs my appetite for spice foods is at the fast food restaraunt at the American Pavillion they now serve boneless buffalo nuggets. They are not super super spicy but have just enough of the vinegar/cayenne kick to get you through another day. I'm sure any place that serves buffalo wings might do the trick.

I had some decent hot wings and steak fries at The Pepper Market-not worth a special trip, though.

You can find some decent hot food at House of Blues. The jambalaya is usually garnished with a scotch bonnet pepper, and the calamari used to come with a hot chili oil drizzle.
At times, the pastalaya at RFC has had some good heat to it. Seems to be hit or miss there though.

That's all I can think of.

I've had the noodle bowl and at the condiment area they have the chinese/vietnamese hot sauce that you can use.... I don't know if they still have it but that usuall quenches my craving for kimchi:rotfl:

I had the Swahili Curry Shrimp at Jiko and that was pretty hot & spicy - one of my favorite meals in the world. Jiko might be a good bet for spicy stuff though (they have the ingredients so you can just ask them to kick the heat up a notch and I'd bet the chefs will). Have a great trip!

The new Sanaa restaurant may be able to feed your need for heat. :)

I've universally seen reviews that either say "I hate spicy food and Sanaa was fine for me" or "I love spicy food and Sanaa was way too bland for me."

At Sanaa, there is a red curry chicken (?) and a green curry shrimp (?) in the "pick 3" section. The red is much more mild than the green, yet both are very flavorful. I think the green is "hot" for most-----not my dh though!
