The souvenir you ended up hating.

I also hated the cocoa at first, but I found a couple perfect uses for it...I either sprinkle it on a PB sandwich or add it to ice cream. Now I find myself using it all the time!

The Hula Stitch is one of my top five favorite things from Disney, I just hate changing his batteries all the time! The little bugger really eats 'em up!

Those spinner keychains kill me! If that stupid little pin was only a millimeter longer, it would probably last forever!

Nothing I regret more than not buying the Hula Stitch. I loved it, saw it once at AK, and never saw one after that.

If it makes you feel better, they have them in a bunch of stores as of a week and a half ago. Should still be able to find one.

Heh! I didn't think of that...another for work! Mine has been commuting! Wouldn't that make my co-workers so happy if he was there all the time! Thanks for the idea!!!

We bought Yeti Binoculars at AK last week for our friend's little boy. They look soo cool, they're all furry like the Yeti in the front and have a strap that hangs around your neck. Well, by the time we got them back to the hotel, the plastic that goes around the left eyehole on the back of the binoculars had crumbled. We chalked it up to a fluke, DH took the bus to the toy store at DTD and got a new pair.

Well, he ended up leaving them on a garbage can at the Virgin Megastore and thought they were lost so he went back to Once Upon a Toy & got another pair. By the time he came back to the hotel, the record store called & said that they found the Yeti Binoculars. So he returned the new ones & picked those ones up.

So, we got them home and when I opened up the bag, the dang plastic on the same spot on the new binoculars had crumbled off! It leaves really sharp jagged edges & is a total safety hazard. I wonder if they knew something was up with them because when he bought them the third time, they had gone from $15.00 to $9.99!

Mine would be the Mickey Shaped Spagetti. After 6 years one would think to just throw it away. Do they really think you are going to boil Mickey.....I think not. What a waste of money...oh well

I still have the bag I bought in 1996!!! I have no idea why I am keeping it.

I love most things Disney, but I purchased the hot cocoa mixes in the little tins on my last trip and they were awful tasting! I was so excited for my pink cocoa and I ended up tossing them all out!

What about you?

These are horrible!!! I bought the green Buzz Lightyear one for my son and we had to toss it. It was not even choclate flavored! I don't know what it was.

I bought a box of Mickey Macaroni and Cheese to make when I got back home. The pasta was in the shape of Mickey's head and it looked like it would be yummy. Well I made it and it was beyond disgusting. :crazy2:

Well put. Oh, I so feel your pain!

I bought mine at MK's Merchant of Venus and love it! It sits in my Disney office. If you are really serious and would like one, I will PM you with the details to order one. :thumbsup2

I'm glad this thread was started, because I was planning on getting the cocoa for my coworkers! I guess I'll stick to non-Disney souveniers. Perhaps something from the World Showcase.

Thanks for the link C.J.. I actually thought of taking a photo of the packaging for the back page of Consumer Reports magazine where they print goofy or misleading ads and packaging. The binoculars say "Not for use by small children" and it also says "Ages 3+". To my mind, a 3 year old is still a small child but maybe not?

Another victim of the Mickey ice cube trays. I could never, ever get them to pop out correctly. Sold them in a garage sale.

When I bought my ice cube tray the CM there told me the best way to use them is to only fill up to just (if not under) the top of the Mickey shape. So far they work great for me, sometimes the ears come off but not very often. Mostly when I over fill them. I so wanted the Hot chocolate and one time they were giving samples of it away at DTD and I am so glad I tried it because it is AWFUL!!! I don't have any really bad souviners except my dd once bought the mickey dinosaur playset at AK years ago and they legs kept breaking off the characters! So it ended up at a garage sale.
