The souvenir you ended up hating.

I bought a pack of the small mickey head Christmas ornaments. I think there were about 10 or 12 in the pack. Anyway, when I got them home and took them out of the package, the ears fell off of almost every one of them! I would have loved them, but Mickey with no ears is just a ball! LOL

I bought myself a jointed Mickey Mouse key chain last Dec.... I LOVED it, my husband made fun of it constantly saying it weight too much for my ignition and it would hurt it... it quickly broke.   Now all I have is Mickey's head hanging from my keys :scared: Same trip, I bought my DD8 a pewter looking Tinkerbelle key chain that quicly broke too. It hasn't been a good year for keychains here... I swear that I'm bringing them back in 5 days for an exchange :teeth:

I bought the same mickey key chain in 2005. I bought one for each of my two sisters and all three of us only have the mickey head left.

All those poor little armless and legless MICKEYS!

:rotfl2:

The souviees I liked but the cats disliked were these little Tink charms that I put on their collars. On Snowflake it lasted 3 days ... I found Tink's legs under a chair and when I finally figured out what they were ... Tink was just a little pewter head - totally body-less! - stuck to a very unapologetic cat!!! Mustache's lasted a few months longer but every time he took a little drink, Tink was drowned. I was a little worried the cat might die of lead poisoning but one day his Tink was body-less too. End of Tink. Cats were happy. :lmao:

Those pewter keychains do seem to break really easily. I wish they would go back to selling the clear, square plastic keychains that had Walt Disney World written down the side with a picture of the character on it. Those keychains last!

Other than a few bug bites and maybe a couple of extra pounds, I haven't brought anything home that I didn't want to keep.

:rotfl: This is the funniest thread I've read so far! I buy lots of keychains, I just don't use them. I tack them to my wall with all my other chains from various parts of the world. Well, I do have 2 pirate ones I got from DL in April and those have held up quite well, one even has a ruby gem in is eye and it's amazingly still there.
I've thought long and hard and I can't think of anything I didn't want after I got it. You guys should let the other Disers on the Shopping List thread not to buy the Hula Stitch and the ice cube trays, there are several people with those items on their list! popcorn::

I bought a box of Mickey Macaroni and Cheese to make when I got back home. The pasta was in the shape of Mickey's head and it looked like it would be yummy. Well I made it and it was beyond disgusting. :crazy2:

My kids love MickeyRoni & Cheese! We're all out and there was none to be found when we looked at WDW on our last trip. :confused3 We have to stock up on our next DL trip!

I bought the same hot chocolates!!

I couldn't resist.

I don't hate them.

BUT....

They're not the best tasting things I've ever had.

No one ever claimed pixie dust to be magically delicious. ;)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Where's the tag fairy when you need her?

Well I had one of those key chains. I found Mickey's body on the floor and his head still hanging on my keys. It was a sad, sad day.

trying hard but really cant think of anything, but then I dont tend to buy a lot of things besides baseball hats and key chains :rotfl:

I thought those metal Mickey-shaped things for fried eggs would be cute.

By the time you are done, you end up with an oddly shaped fried egg that no one would recognize as Mickey. I tried it for a total of 4 eggs and gave up. They are still somewhere in the kitchen, I'll probably throw them away someday.

I use mine to cut sandwiches into mickey shapes. They say you can also use them to make pancakes, but who wants to make one tiny little pancake at a time? :confused3

Unfortunately I'm in the Hot Chocolate group too. It was NOT good. But, I LOVE the tins that they came in and I have them decorating my kitchen. So definitely not a total loss.

I think I would have to go to therapy after seeing "pieces of Mickey." :teeth:

They are a PITA to use for pancakes- been there, done that. :rotfl2: They are useful as cookie cutters, though. I never really thought about using them to cut sandwiches (duh!)- thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2

I have a broken keychain, too!! :sad2: Mine is a little gold metal Mickey Ears hat that has a "50" on the front. Got it during the 50th Celebration. So cool, but the metal loop on top of the ears broke off- now there is no place to attach the ears to the keychain. I still have it in my car- I just like to look at it. Maybe I'll try to rig it up so I can hang it from the Christmas tree.

I have some bats and pumpkins that I use for pancakes. The trick is to spray them with Pam. My kids love them. I will have to look for the Mickey ones.

Not much better for pancakes. Even when spraying, the batter in the ears stays in the ears. We tried pulling it apart where the ear meets the head so that there was a bigger space and stil stuck. It's so much easier to pour a pancake with two little pancakes.
