The Sopranos final episodes (SPOILERS!!!)

He made sure Chris went to re-hab and was given another chance...and then he mocked him at the BBQ a couple of shows ago for being weak. Not buying the whole "disease"...thing. Chris tells him he's not around because he doesn't want to be around the drugs...and he tells him he's got to get a back bone.

Their relationship forever changed after the Cleaver movie premiere and Tony realised that Christopher hated him. It took Carmella to point it out to Tony that the boss in the movie was really him. I found it funny when Christopher realised that this movie could end his his life and he went over to guy who wrote the screen play. Christopher forced the writer to go to Tony and make up some ridiculous lie. Tony knew he was lying and saw the bruise on the guy's face and also knew that Christopher put him up to it. When Tony was in Dr Melfi's office at the end of the episode and almost in tears over the fact that Christopher wanted him dead, I knew that Christopher wasn't long for this world.

Tony was giving Christopher grief about not hanging around and to get a back bone, because the business they're in, is a face to face business. If Christopher couldn't handle his business like the other guys do, then it was time for a change. Tony was putting more pressure on him because he wasn't going to coddle him anymore like he did in the past. No more free passes. Christopher was told/warned by Tony not to be doing screen plays based on his mob experiences and that movie basically was the end of their relationship. Tony is cold blooded monster at times, but a complicated, complex figure and hard to figure out. I remember in the first season when he loved the family of ducks that made a home in his pool and even built a ramp for them. He almost cried and was in mourning when they flew off for good. The Producers of this show really do a great job with his character and make you love him and hate him at the same time. A very unique show and it will be missed by me when it finally goes off the air for good.

I did find it really interesting the song choices that they used with Christopher. Comfortably Numb was great. Especially when they played the part that reminices about a young child and then after the crash the first thing Tony sees is the smashed carseat. Since he raised Christopher it was as if his child was killed in that instant. Nothing is the way it was before. It was very bittersweet.
The music was actually foreshadowed in last week's episode. When Tony is coming down the stairs from his bedroom, he was actually singing Comfortably Numb. I noticed it back then because we've never heard Tony sing before that I can remember.

It was quite an episode last night.

Did anyone else notice the "wink" of the sun while Tony was in the desert? I felt that it may have been a reference to the beacon from the "Kevin Finnerty" episodes and a possible harbinger of Tony's impending doom.
YES! and also did anyone else get the whole vegas trip for him? he was alone & didnt know why he was there? remember he was on a biz trip in those episodes & didnt know why he was there...i see the creators of the sopranos laying it down for tony's death.........

I noticed that, too. When they showed him dining alone, I thought it was just like Kevin Finnerty.

Excellent episode. I had read spoilers about the car wreck with Heidi and Kennedy, but it hinted the girls would be killed, so I took it with a grain of salt. Chris read a spoiler that 8 characters would die in these last episodes. I've lost count....Johnny Sac, Paulie's Mom, Christopher. It didn't say major or minor and I doubt the guy that Bobby killed would count. Again, I take that with a grain of salt and enjoy the episodes.

Great show!

:thumbsup2

In the pilot episode, Tony sings Whiter Shade of Pale and dances with Carmela....:)

Also the other mob boss from NY that Phil had killed (sorry, his name escapes me now) and JT (Tim Daly's character). If you do include the guy that Bobby whacked, I think there's been at least one death in each of the most recent episodes.

You're good. :)

Did Paulie's real mom die or was it the woman who really is his aunt and raised him from birth as her own? It was hard to tell last night and I wasn't sure. I know Paulie and woman he thought was always his mother, made up last season and put the incident behind them. If anyone can shed some light on this, it would be great.

I think it was the mom who raised him. From what I recall, his mom/aunt died last season and that is how he found out what really happened.

these are my predictions on how the show will end...

I think AJ is going to get wacked. He has been out of control with bad kids. I think he will mess with the wrong kid, maybe someone connected to Phil. That will be the end of AJ. Or maybe someone will wack AJ to get back at Tony. This will lead to an all out war between families.

Sil will get caught by the feds and flip. He will tell how Tony ordered the killing of Andrea. Tony goes to Jail never being able to avange AJ's death. The last seen will be of an Angry Tony behind bars. Tony will have an angry look as the theme to the Soprano's plays in the background.

Paulie will become the Boss with Tony and Sil out of the way.

:sad2: My PREDICTION is AJ is gonna Whack Tony!:thumbsup2

I think AJ is killed..or kills himself. I think this is probably the only thing that Tony will not be able to live with. He will be either in Jail or witness protection..either way living out the remainder of his life in misery.

Oh yeah.....and Doc in NY. I forgot about him, too. It's been some body count to date.

I have to agree with this. Tony will never be happy.

Please forgive me for not going through and reading all the posts. But does anyone think the family name Soprano has anything to do with how it will end? I have thought this since they started talking of the end a few years back. What do Sopranos do? They sing! :rolleyes1

I don't want to make any concrete predictions but I do agree with the prevailing theory that AJ is going to be a major catalyst for problems in Tony's future. The juxtaposition of Tony's search for justification in Las Vegas and AJ's return to his underlying depressed existentialism lends credence to the theory. Tony was searching for meaning within himself hoping to fully justify his actions while AJ struggles to find purpose or meaning for the world at large. AJ and Tony are alike in the sense that they both suffer from depression but different in that Tony does not question the world, only his motives, and AJ is in turn repulsed by the violence that his father would otherwise except as normal. I think AJ will come to be repulsed by his father and this could spell trouble for Tony. AJ has long struggled with the image of his father as the larger than life gangster, from the first season when Meadow tells him, to later seasons when his friends are quick to accept him only because of Tony. On another note, does anyone else think that Carmella will find out what happened to Adrianna? If she does find out will she be unable to forgive Tony and the flight of the ducks be realized in the absence of familial support in Tony's darkest hour? I am sorry about the long post, I tend to get long winded.

I think Carmella already believes that Tony and his crew are responsible for Aides disapearance. Carmella is in denial. Maybe all she needs is for the police to find whats left of the body.

Personally, I am hoping that Tony wacks his sister Janice.

These last three episodes are going to be wild.

Janice should have been whacked in the first or second seasons! She's only slightly less annoying that Tony's mom was!

I'm all for Janice being fitted for a pair of concrete Jimmy Choo's!! ;)

And I think they need to enlighten Carm as to what happened to Aide.

And what about Uncle Junior? Have we seen the last of him, sitting in a wheel chair at the nursing home after being beaten. Is that it? :confused3

I think something will happen to Paulie. They have on several occasions hinted to it.

Me too!! AJ is realizing that his dad and all of the gang are monsters. I think he might flip if he finds out that Tony killed Christopher or if Tony makes a move toward hurting Carmela.
