Everyone ready for the last, what it is 8 episodes?

I've read that at least three of the regulars make it to the end.

I have to say, even with the long breaks in between, I'll miss them.

My DH and DS are doing the Sopranos happy dance!

(I am now moved to the playroom to watch Deserate Housewives. )

We bought a 50" big screen TV last year. We never had HBO before and when we got it and the guys discovered The Sopranos, they were hooked. I bought DH ALL of the back seasons on DVD and they watched them all winter long. They are all caught up and ready for Sunday.

My DH still has to watch the last episode from the last season. I warned him that it was pretty lackluster and not to expect much.

I really hope this last season is a good one. Blondie, lackluster is putting it mildly. It almost felt like the writers couldn't come up with any ideas at all.

I have to admit that I have NEVER seen more than 10 minutes of the episodes.

I can't stand violence -- I can't watch the war, Rambo, Mad Max, etc. movies either.

My guys run around quoting the lines all the time.

Livia Soprano (Tony's mother) used to have some great one liners.

This will be our first season of Sopranos in hi-def:cool1:

the long breaks and the last season has put a damper on it for me, but the only way it could end is Tony gets killed

Yeah -- the blood splats are magnificent in hi-def!:thumbsup2 :rotfl: ;)

Blondie,
Tony's Mom was played by Nancy Marchand, right? She also starred on Lou Grant, I think.

I read that critics got to watch the first 2 and thought that they were really great! I can not wait.

Yep, Nancy Marchand. I think she died of lung cancer, didn't she?

This is our second season in HD, nothing like seeing Tony's pores up close and personal! ;)

Yes it is going to be a wonderful Easter! Shovel snow, go to church, find Easter baskets, give thanks, have a nice long family dinner, then OK kids GO to another room and DON'T come back for an hour it is time for Tony!

I sincerely hope it is like the first few years and not like last year, what a waste. It was the first year I actually got up in the middle of a show if the phone rang or one of the kids needed something less than a trip to the ER.

I hope David Chase got the memo that Sopranos fans don't like dream sequences that go on for several episodes!

NO MORE DREAM SEQUENCES!

I really hope Carmella finds out about Adrianna.

I really hope Carmella finds out about Adrianna.

I think in her heart she already knows. Their way of life is not new to her she has lived it all her life. She has just learned to bury those facts in order to maintain the "lifestyle she has become accustomed to" I love what hypocrites they all are!

I'm not so sure Carmella knows or not. I think she's suspicious though.

I think she's living in a whole lot of denial.

I stopped watching last season right before Vito got killed..

Can anybody tell me what happened after that? Anything I should know?

Not a whole lot happened after that.

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN ALL OF LAST SEASON'S EPISODES--------

Christopher took up an affair with the real estate agent Tony had his eyes on (can't remember her name) and both of them are using drugs again--he met her in A.A. Christopher's wife is pregnant (maybe you knew that already.)

Tony made it possible for Carmella's spec house to proceed after she started to ask questions about Adrianna.

It ended on Christmas Eve (or was it Christmas Day?) with all of them sitting in the Soprano living room. A.J. is hot and heavy with an hispanic girl he met on the construction job Tony got him. She has a small child and he brought them both over on Christmas.

That's about it!

Blondie- thanks!! I remember Christopher getting into drugs again, that really disappointed me...I didn't know that Tony finally came through with Carmella's house though!!

Whatever happened to that chef from the restaurant? (The one who got his hand burned in the sauce or something? Am I imagining this?)
