The Smiths are Heading Back...For 10 Days of Disney Magic! (Updated 8/16)

Great news on the contract and the trip being paid off!!!!:cool1::woohoo::yay:

Now the fun planning can really begin!

Anyone needs Crocs? Did some more shopping tonight. Shoebuy is having an additional 20% off sale.

As I mentioned, I am having major Croc issues with Ash. Santa bought her size 3 (even though she was in a 2) because her feet normally grow like weeds and her feet are the same exact size as they were at Christmas. So none of Santa's crocs fit. SOOOO I've had to re-order. But due to that, I'm trying not to order too many. The issue that I"m having is that I need white. Plain old white. But I wanted a slightly dressier style since 99% of her outfits are dresses or skirts/tanks. (Like a Maryjane or something) But they only have white in Aisling's size in Beach stye :headache: So I gave up and got these

Not at all dressy but I know they'll be comfy for her walking all day.

I was also in search for something for me to wear with my sundresses. Since I have such nerve damage, I really can't wear cute sandals walking around a park. I normally wear my black Crocs Capris but again...not dressy. So I got these since they were on sale. Hopefully they'll work :thumbsup2

Since I'm just now seeing the good news, please excuse me while I let out a WOO HOO!!! I'm so happy that the contract stuff worked out and that you get to go to on your trip! :woohoo: I love the bathing suits. :thumbsup2

On a side note, I got a brochure for the Wild Africa thing while we were there and I thought it sounded really neat. I didn't know that you couldn't take a camera, though. Now it doesn't sound as exciting...

I like both crocs you picked out. I think they will do just fine. The ones you got for yourself I have worn in the parks before and they worked well for me. :thumbsup2

ya the whole camera thing really threw me off. There are PP people out there but I want pics of the animals (you know because I have 3000 pics of them already but what's a couple more :rotfl2:)

I thought it was you who wore the Malindi style. So you think I should be fine for walking the parks after dinner? That would be their purpose...after dinner shoes

I really love the Lands End shoes, super cute!

Yeah, I wouldn't wear them all day to the parks but they were fine for me for dinners and after dinners, I wear them to work too and they are comfy.

cute shoes! Shoes are one of the hardest parts of packing for WDW! We've had great luck with Merrells and Keens (recommended by other DISers) but they are pricey and not very cute.

The Crocs you got for yourself are my favorites! They're SUPER comfy!!

subbing, all caught up! Looking forward to your updates! :cool1: I love Land's End too! Have a great 4th!:)

That was part of the other reason I got them...I could put them off at work :thumbsup2

I did look at the Keens too. They have some cute ones that are similar in style to the Lands End trekkers. But the Lands' End ones were $14 so they won!

Oh good! I'm really hoping that they work out.

:welcome: Erin! Looks like you are going the same time we are! Getting excited yet?

The shopping continues with a few "necessities" for the trip

In other news, Aisling broke her toe yesterday at our 4th of July Cookout. Thankfully we have a few weeks for her to heal!

Happy 4th of July Everyone!

Happy 4th of July!!

I hope Aisling's toe heals quickly!!!

Oh no! I hope the toe heals quickly!!! :goodvibes

Thanks Girls. She'll be fine. We had to make an executive parenting decision to NOT tell her it's broken (although I will need to let Camp know tomorrow). The drama would never end...and I've broken enough toes to know that there is nothing that can be done for a broken toe but wait for the swelling and bruising to go away :(

Awww poor thing!!!! Sending pixie dust for quick healing!!!!

Love to be able to shop vicariously through you!!!! Great items I'm seeing!!

Thanks...latest two are actually presents from Randy. I'm taking the "getting ready" pics at his sister's wedding on Aug 6th so the flash is necessary for that too (totally unnecessary but FUN for WDW!) and the Kindle is something he has been promising for awhile. He had been socking away his spending money in case of a strike so now it's "fun money" apparently. But since he's not one to buy gifts (I got NOTHING for Mother's Day :rolleyes1), I'm letting him spoil me :thumbsup2

We actually thought Aisling's toe was just jammed. She stubbed it on the pool steps. But she woke up this morning and it was super swollen and has that black and blue line running across the whole thing.

Ouch, those toes injuries can really hurt - good idea not using the word 'broken', since like you said, nothing much you can do! Words can really change things, I had to have a mole removed from my back the other day and the nurse said, "the Dr. will be right in for your surgery", I was like WHAT!!!:scared1: (and I'm in the medical business - PT!)

Yes, we are SO excited! I'm a little torn since I'm doing this mother-DS12 trip and leaving the younger 2 home, but they of course will be going on one-on-one trips as well and they are really ok about it (or I wouldn't go). We have never been in the summer, so I'm a little concerned about the heat. I'm excited to try CSR for the first time as well. We are not doing the dining plan for the first time, and are going to try snacking more throughout the day and eating 1 big meal, we will see how the numbers work out in the end.

Loving the shopping updates and trip prep. I am going to order some hydroflasks (water bottles the Dis podcast team recommends) soon, waiting for the pink one! I need to do some shoe shopping for DS12 as well.

Happy 4th!
