The smell from the hotels for sale?

Hi

Last time we went to DLP and stayed at the DLH, we bought these "smell pads" (I'm not sure of the English word for them) with the smell from the lobby. We bought them at the reception and would like to get another set this time. But we won't be staying on site this time, can we still purchase them, or do you have to be a guest at the hotel?

Also, does other Disney Hotel offer them? (With their signature smell?)

They stopped selling them sadly :sad2: I've never seen any of the other hotels selling theirs either

Yep they stopped selling them as according to rumour TWDC didn't want guests to be able to surround themselves at home with the DLH smell. They want people to come and experience it at the resort :confused3

That is such a shame... :sad2:

But that's ridiculous (and mean)! Surely it would encourage people to return to the hotel.

*Sniff* mmmmm "I HAVE to go back to the Disneyland Hotel!!" :teeth:

Oh no  I have just thrown mine away as it's finally stopped smelling (the pack of two lasted over a year :thumbsup2 ) and I was hoping to buy some more.

I do remember someone posting that they couldn't find them for sale and I wrongly assumed they'd been looking in the DLH shop and not asked at reception.

I've got a Yankee candle which smells very similar but it's not quite the same as buying it at the hotel itself .....

Exactly!! ::yes:: And although we can't afford to stay there this time we're still going there to eat I have the empty baked beans cans in my recycling bin to prove it :rotfl: :rotfl: and I was so looking forward to stocking up again.

Considering the sachets lasted over a year I think they turned out to be very good value.

Can I ask which Yankee it is Elaine?

I always think Pink Sands is a little bit like the Floridian. My Mum did ask them what the scent at the GF was but now I can't remember. :(

Wish I'd been at DLH when the scent pads were available as we love the smell in there.

Also - and this sounds odd. We have a cleaning solution from Pets at Home that you use on animal stains (so used when Bella throws up grass and hair on our carpet) and not only does it work amazing at the stain. It smells just like the HNY!! Lol.

It's vanilla and sandalwood. I'll have to try a Pink Sands sampler, we've not been in the GF yet but at least I'll know what it smells like!

I must look out for the cleaning solution at Pets at Home - with three dogs I have to quite regularly use one and if it can smell like the DLH then so much the better! :thumbsup2

There was a thread here a while ago where people were buying an air freshener that smelt like DLH - I'll see if I can find it.

Here's the thread. :goodvibes

Reading it through again I see the Yankee's called Sandalwood Vanilla ( I almost got it right ;) ) and I've still never seen those air fresheners in our Asda. :guilty:

I wish I could get some of that over here. If I can't get the real stuff, I'll need something close to it.
I can't believe that they don't sell them anymore at DLH :sad2:
