The Sky is: "(fill in the blank)"

Soo....when do you have Summer in your part of the world?

Isn't it usually scheduled for the first week of August? :rotfl2:

We've gone up to the UP for summer vacation for several years running -- it's a glorious place in spite of the chill....

:surfweb: Good morning my lovelies!

Hi and bye. Just got back but I have to leave again until Thursday. I'll give updates then. Hope everyone has blue skies while I'm gone! :surfweb:

It's been awhile since I've gotten to post - I missed so many awesome pictures! But now I'm all caught up. The sky was blue here today, and it was unseasonably warm - almost 90, and it will be over 90 tomorrow. Yipee!

Bye snapppy! Don't forget to keep in touch w/all your new friends.

Macca: Welcome back. Wish I was having your weather right now. I love the hot weather.

Back from the beach :sad1:

The sky is.......dark. It's night, so I guess that is to be expected.

muddy, with a touch of sun. A warm 55 degrees here.

Welcome home Kerrie
Bye again snap.
Hi Again Macca
Smurfy, if you're coming to see me, let me know when and where. Do I just look for the blue?
Smileybug, it has snowed up here on the 4th of July.

Shout out to the Rest.

Sure -- Look for the blue!

Actually, we're not going this year :sad1:. We usually go up to Au Train, near the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on the Lake Superior side. Just beautiful up there! I'm trying to plan for next summer.

Saw this and thought of this thread (touching into the "no-lifers" thread, but whatever...). Sunny today I believe, and up to 80 in Chicagoland tomorrow...

Is there any other character that fills the "no life" position quite like Garfield? He's my hero! :worship::worship:

Good morning, I'm at the library! They are making such a mess and so much noise I had to get out of the house for a while. They had to saw off the bottom of one of my cabinets to make the wood floor fit under the fridge :scared1:

I'm scared to go home!

So true, it's very sunny today, but so cold! I tried sitting out on the porch but I was freezing.

Hope everyone has a good day, I'll try to come back tomorrow.

Morning all.

Smurfy, that garfield cartoon is made for me!!! I need that dimmer switch out here, it's really cooking. I did hear on the news last night that we might dip below 100 on Thursday but only for 2 days and then back up for the weekend.

Kerrie; how was the beach? Just the thought of ocean breezes sounds marvelous.

The beach was great. Well, Saturday, not so much, but Sunday was nice. The baby did great, the almost 2 yr old had some issues with the waves coming towards her. Kinda scary if you're 2, I guess.
We drove all the way down Padre Island (around 70, 4-wheel drive only). There is still a lot of debris from Hurricane Ike, but no where near as much as right after Ike in Oct. This time we only saw one hot tub. In Oct, we saw at least 4 only went down about 40 miles. Saw 4 coyotes, 3 deer, and a hawk. A crane stood and watched my husband fish until he threw him some bait. Crane ate and left.
Saturday night when we were trying to leave from the other end of the island, it was late, dark, pretty bumpy and DH likes to drive fast, DDalmost2 threw up. Cleaned that up, then the heavy rain started. Couldn't see more than a few feet in front of us. Finally got to the hotel around 11:30 and still had to bathe the children.
Sunday was nice. Cold front came thru (hence the rain), mild temps. It was beautiful. The kids were happy, DH was happy, and I was happy. There was finally a day with no vomit!!

Of course, I did miss talking to all of you, but other than that, it was great.

Kerrie, nothing says a good time, better than barf.

Next time it's Mom's turn

After 5 pregnancies, I'm thinking she already knows plenty about barf. :rotfl:
