This reminds me of when a bunch of people were talking about the missing crab a few years back and I was like, what?!? And then I was ridiculously happy to see the crab return. That's exactly why I love PotC so much. There are so many beloved details. Though I have to say, if Captain Jack Sparrow wanted to go missing for a while, I wouldn't say anything.
