The Plan: Day 5

The entire family is looking forward to this day because we are going to Typhoon Lagoon! We absolutely love this park, it is SO much fun, the wave pool is awesome and the slides are really fun too. The park opens at 9 and we will probably spend all morning and most of the afternoon just playing in the water.

We are spending the evening at Epcot, this is the night of the big Focker meet. Originally we had been planning to eat at Biergarten with everybody else but ultimately we decided not to as we did not care for the menu and did not want to spend $150 on food we would not like. Instead we will be meeting up with the group before the meal to socialize for a bit and finally meet everybody that I have been chatting with online for over a year. Then the rest of the evening we will be exploring World Showcase. Not sure where we will have dinner, that will probably be a decision made while there.

I don't have a must-do list for this day since we will be in the water park most of the day and we just plan to stroll around World Showcase and live in the moment without anything planned in advance.

You should definitely try out a water park sometime, Typhoon Lagoon is our favourite because of the wave pool. The pool at Blizzard Beach isn't nearly as much fun.

I think the water slides are about on par. Typhoon Lagoon has the Slush N Gusher and Blizzard Beach has Summit Plummet (that one is only good if you like the huge drop and an enormous wedgie. )

My advice... Wear a lot of sunscreen. You don't want to show up at the Focker meet wearing a shade of RED all over you.

It doesn't go well with the lime green and all.

Oh I will definitely be wearing sunscreen but I don't really burn anyways, just tan. I have been building up a tan slowly all summer also so that reduces the chances of redness. I did not want to be pale as a ghost in all the pictures thus the pre-tanning. One of my favourite things to do is lay out in the backyard and read a good book.

I won't be wearing lime though, probably blue or red.

I prefer the pool at Blizzard Beach because I like to "bob" gently in my inner tube. LOL The waves at Typhoon Lagoon are just too rough for little me.
We went to BB twice this June - DD and DH ride all the slides - I "bob". (and drink Mai Tais...)

See we are the exact opposite, we love the big waves, the pool at Blizzard Beach was a bit too laid back for us, that is what the lazy river is for.

I didn't mind Tiki Birds so much, at least it was air conditioned and I could actually understand what they were saying unlike Country Bears.

The Tiki Room at WDW is an abomination on the awesome original! I never saw the original in WDW but when we went to DL we saw it and I can't even believe how the messed it up now. I'll go if they are letting in and I need some A/C but I don't have to like it! LOL.

Well see, I have never seen the original so I don't know any better. I wouldn't stand in a long line to see it but as you said, if they are letting people in and you need some a/c why not?
