The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Yay, we're back already!! :yay:

I've never been able to get a good picture of that sign, but I will this time. Since we're driving I'm going to make Don pull over if I have too!

The Driver - Good old what'shisname :lmao: made a point to tell everyone to take a picture and he slowed down and everything.

Nashville does, too. Must be a southern hospitality/comfort thing. Sit back, relax, and 'set a spell'. :goodvibes

Oh yes I am sure Charlotte stole it from somewhere. :lmao:

They are neat and a bit unexpected. they are not in a real goood area- far from any gate but if you have time and can snag one it is great.

Aaaaaaaand we're off!

I always scream like a chick when I see that sign. Sometimes a little squeak slips out too.

Me too.

So, did the guy tell you your feet were cute?? :lmao:

Well no but he did comment on my Minnie shirt.:cutie:

Rocking chairs are the coolest addition I can think of in an airport. Especially if they place them right next to a place you can watch the guys with the red batons- I have a secret fantasy to be one of those- seems like they wield such cool "sticks of power"!

Ohhhhhh I like the wands the Disney CM's use to direct people around the chaos of the parade. In fact, for our more crowded swim meets I acquired a blinky wand. I left it at my old faciltiy when I moved. I should have swiped it. :lmao:

The rocking chairs are in main part of our concourse near the big food court and the grand piano. Our local news did a spot on 2 luggage handlers who would come up and play and they got a record deal 'cause they were so good.

i see you started your trip right with a nathans dog...i hope you ended with one as well in the orlando airport.
:thumbsup2

I usually do. It was one of the things I remember from my childhood ( yes the had hot dogs back then) Love me some Nathan's hot dogs - even if they dont always love me back, or love me too much.

Somehow I remember my dad never letting me get fries. So as an adult I ALWAYS get fries.:lmao:

You left behind a blinky wand??!!! You DIDN'T!!

:scared1:

:sad2: I did. The idio... I mean wonderfrul person that came after me probably just threw it out because he was like that.

I did find a mini one around Halloween time :)

Can you feel the excitement building?

P7083987.jpg

I love these suitcases. I wish the airlines would just allow us to use these with no extra fees.

P7083988.jpg

I POP off the bus, thanked Joe for getting us there safely and raced inside. I used online check in so I was helped quickly.
I was given room

P7083994.jpg

My room was ready so I walked over. This was by far the best room I have had to date.
I was in the

The room – a non- refurbed room

I drop my stuff and get my park bag out and head back out. I am wearing my croc sandals and carrying the small camera with the crappy zoom. Why am I telling you this? You will find out.

I TAKE MY ROOM KEY and go take pictures of my view.

I begin to walk back to the stairs right behind this.

So excited to be at

In the

building.

I made my way though the food court and filled up before I set off.
P7084015.jpg

Now what would be my first park of this trip???

It really made a BIG difference in the atmosphere of the resort having all of this brightness and activity boarded up. We weren't there much except for to sleep, and we enjoyed the Bowling Pin Pool, but walking out and not seeing this definitely was different.

Can you feel the excitement building?

I remember the laundry room being the "excitement building- and for others the Food Court is the "excitement building".

OH sure, now you tell me. :sad2:

I fully intended to try one of those Poolside Lemonades, but the opportunity never presented itself. :headache:

Hmmmm.. whichever had the first bus arrive. :confused3

The whole pool area really completes the picture. ::yes::

That was SOOO for you. ;)

The Captain's MaiTai's are my favorite. Usually good, hard to make weak and a good bit of punch for the coin. Oh and just about every bar has 'em.

Hmmmm.. whichever had the first bus arrive. :confused3

I think you may know me too well.:scratchin:

My building excitement was that I turned into a 6 year old just bouncing on the bus, off the bus and to check in and to the room. ON CLOUD 9 and SO RELAXED.

Oh, ya think?! :rotfl2:

I can neither confirm nor deny at least one of these was consumed...:rolleyes1

Yes, I think I do.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with being on the way to Disney- and that Welcome sign is certainly no antidote. :dance3:

I decide I am going to head to DHS. Good choice as any. Well when I get here

P7084016.jpg

I see this.

P7084017.jpg

See that bus. It just pulled away from the DHS bus stop.
Nuts. Would that continue to be a theme throughout this trip?
No worries. I will just go here.

P7084018.jpg

Bus is waiting.

P7084019.jpg

It is about 2pm. I am on the bus with a girl with a couple and their baby . No this is not the beginning of a joke but hang on to that bit of info.
With a stop at Blizzard beach we arrive at AK 24 minutes later.

P7084020.jpg

Oh no, the tour groups I would have the pleasure of sharing my vacation with.

P7084021.jpg

I go here.

P7084022.jpg

P7084026.jpg

I hope someday this turns back into some kind of transportation.
P7084028.jpg

10 minutes later I finally see this.

P7084029.jpg

Sights along the water.

P7084030.jpg

Where do I head first? It was hot so I went here.

P7084031.jpg

P7084032.jpg

Picked up one of these but I am unsure why. Not sure why I did not ride Single rider.

P7084033.jpg

I am hot and thirsty. Lets walk.

I sip and snap.

P7084044.jpg

Dan, follow the sign for a Bud Light with lime.
All done and time to get up. Whoa baby, those are a bit strong.

Great pictures at POP, Pat. Do you know...we've never been there (except to drop someone off at the front door). And you got some great shots of the AK. I too wish that one area would be a boat ride of some sort again. I NEVER knew that bar was there; I will definitely have to remedy that in September. ;)

Ahhhhh Pop! And Animal Kingdom! Seems like we were in Room 4442 on our first trip. Or maybe I'm just thinking that was our room number. LOL I know it was in the 60's and it was a preferred room. That building is a great location!

I don't recognize any of the drinks on the pool bar menu. It must have changed since then. The Lost in Safari is a yummy drink!
