Hi,
Does anyone have any experience of this hotel? It's located at 900 South Disneyland Drive but I have no idea where this is compared to DL as it will be our first time. How close is it? They say it is walking distance and they have a free hotel shuttle so I wont have to use ART.
I have some coupons from the UK for this specific hotel but would like some info first before I book it.
We plan to do some California sight seeing and not just Disney so we really want a hotel that is going to be a well located, clean and comfortable base ( a free breakfast and parking would also be welcome :) )
Thanks in advance for any info,
Ruby :thumbsup2

Have never stayed there, but I do know where it is. While technically walkable, it is not really one of the hotels where people tend to walk. It is a bit far. However, we frequently saw their shuttle bus in the shuttle area. So much so that we said that we would consider staying there the next time. We had stayed across the street from DL and after a long day in the parks, even that walk could be too far.

One thing I've been doing to "look" at hotels is look them up on the Google map and using the satelite image and also the street veiw image where available to get an idea of what it looks like.

I am also considering this hotel but just can't make up my mind.

Also, on google maps if you click on driving directions there is a place where you can choose if you want directions if you're going by car, by public transit or if you're walking. I haven't tried this out but it might be a good way to see how far it is to walk from DLR to hotel. Although I don't know where at DLR they will put your ending point. I think in google you can move it around though.

It's a nice hotel and the private shuttle is nice. You also have the option of taking the Disney parking structure shuttle (above Magic Way) and then walking the block from there.

Here's a map:

The hotel is up near the top center. You can see where the park entrances are (around the corner where the red square is.) It's quite a long walk, but not undoable.

Thanks everyone :thumbsup2
The distance is fine with us especially when it is offset against the money off vouchers we have!
Does anyone know what the pool is like and what amenities you have in the room eg, a fridge? Is it a clean hotel?
Thanks again, :worship:

i love this hotel! the bus they have to drop and pick you up is faster then any other i've been on!

took my husband an hour to get home from the tram to our car and then the hotel. it took us 10 min. after we stuck around the park for an extra hour ... we walked up to the door when he was putting his key in the door.

yes!
clean hotel
fridge in room.. coffee maker
no microwave
never went to the pool but i see ppl coming from it and they have said it was nice

I have heard that the beds are very comfortable. It's one of the older hotels near the park. I think they just went through a fairly large renovation.

I'm staying here for my Christmas vacation!
The reviews say that the beds are super comfortable and the hotel is supposedly very clean and nice.

There is a daily parking fee of $10, but that's fine because I'll be using their Disneyland shuttle (which is said to be very reliable).

We stayed here last December and really enjoyed it.

I agree that the bus service is great. The one time we missed the bus (only by about 1 minute - they are very punctual!) it took DH and I 15-20 minutes to walk. I would imagine it would take longer if you had kids with you.

Thanks for all the great info :thumbsup2
Just one more quick question... are there any decent places we will be able to get breakfast/dinner near by? I was hoping for maybe a Dennys or something similar?
Thanks again,

People here seem to really love the Mimi's Cafe on Harbor Blvd.
MIMIS CAFE ANAHEIM HARBOR
1400 S. HARBOR BL.
ANAHEIM CA 92802

And there is a Denny's closeby

My family stayed there on our last trip to DL (two years ago). The private shuttle is wonderful. The rooms are twice as big as the other nearby (and much newer) Sheraton. The pool is very simple, but works. There was a hottub also, which we used more than the pool. It has the Starwood (Sheraton) Heavenly bed- very nice!

We will be staying here again on our trip in Feb.

There is a place to eat right inside the hotel and I believe they have a breakfast buffet option.

You could also walk down Disneyland Dr. to Downtown Disney and get something there on your way to the parks.

Thanks again, you've all been so helpful. I really think that this hotel is for us!!!
Now all I've got to do is carry on saving :rotfl:
Thanks again :thumbsup2
