The "senior parade" just went by

Today is high school graduation. Around here the seniors decorate thier cars and drive around town blowing their horns. I can remember doing that when I graduated (from another town) 25yrs ago

Anyone else do this?

silly me-i thought you were going to say you wen't to the mall before it opened (our local mall opens up an hour or so before the stores open and droves of seniors (as in citizens) use it to do walking (they know exactly how many loops equals a mile ).

we refer to it as the "senior parade"

We just blasted our horns pulling out of the parking lot. We didn't drive around the city doing that.

yeah, even though the seniors in my town just did that, I went to a private HS in a different town and we did like another poster said. Just blew our horns as we left the parking lot after graduation.

My sister teaches in rural SC, and the seniors arrive on the last day of school driving tractors, lawn mowers, 4-wheelers, etc. It's a hoot!

What a fun idea. They don't do that here. The closest we come to a senior parade is when they take a bunch of people from the nursing home down the street and drive them around in a trailer pulled by a golf cart. They will take a bunch of people out on nice evening or over to the band shell on Wednesdays for the weekly band concert in the summer.
