The Sea Witch Stole My Voice! Our Two Week Land and Sea Adventure! COMPLETE 4/12

How fun!! Your Goofy turned out VERY nicely!! :thumbsup2 Sorry they couldn't seem to get your breakfast time right and then the service wasn't the best. The characters looked like they were fun, though! GREAT pics!! :goodvibes

Thanks, I was very happy with my Goofy. I loved the animation classes as I usually can not even draw a proper stick figure let alone a Disney character.

Loved the Napkin Hats Lessa !!!!

They were a lot of fun. :thumbsup2

When we showed up at 9:40 everybody was already seated with food on their plates. What? We were so confused. Turns out that our seating time was actually 9:30.

Great update, Lessa!

I thought your drawing turned out great!! I think I saw something about that same class on our cruise, but we decided not to go--now I wish we had!

Sounds like there was a lot of confusion about what time your seating was for the breakfast. It stinks that everyone was already seated once you got there, but at least you weren't any later! I wonder why they told you the wrong time when you asked??

I know what you mean. Sometimes characters breeze by our table. Except at Chef Mickey's.

Your drawing is lovely!

Love the hats :rotfl: And how strange about being told the wrong time twice and I'm so sorry your waiters weren't good!

You should go next time. I had fun at both of the classes I went to on the cruise. :thumbsup2

That was bizarre, I think Mom asked one of the random servers not one of ours so maybe his group got seated at a different time than ours. :confused3

I think the characters should not assume that adults don't want pictures. Why else would be eating at a character breakfast?

Well the first time mix-up may have been our fault and we just misheard the night before. The second time though I am not sure why a waiter would tell us the wrong time. Oh well, it ended up not being a huge deal.

It's baffling when you receive wrong info from waiters, but I guess every one has off days. My oldest dd just did not like our main waiter. In the morning for breakfast, you could eat in a different area, so the waiters were scattered around, and not really assigned to any table. But our waiter would always try to find us, and one morning, he asked my dd, if she would like to discuss anything. She replied, "nope, I'm good, are you?"

That is too bad that your daughter did not like the waitstaff. Did you have the same waiter for every meal like on DCL?

After breakfast Mom and I took a walk through Shutters just for kicks as we had no plan on spending $20-$30 PER photo. Now some of you may disapprove of this but I rednecked a couple of our photos. :littleangel:

I took this one as I like the look of the all white background. You'll remember that the version Mom took was too far back and thus showed the surrounding area.

We had a lot more photos in Shutters but I didn't bother with those as they pretty much looked exactly like the pictures on our camera.

We went over to the shops after that as I wanted to pick up a photo album and the shops were having a sale. Yes that's right, cruise ships do have sales every now and then. They had some sweaters and tee's on sale along with some toys and knick knacks, nothing that caught our attention though.

While at the shops we ran into our friendly stalker and his family. We ran into this guy pretty much every day. Wherever we went he was there too. It was actually very funny. This was the first time we actually saw him with his family aside from embarkation day when they were sitting next to us and one of the daughters was screaming at the parents about how her trip was ruined and they should get a divorce. No wonder he didn't want to hang out with his family. So we said hello and chit chatted for a few minutes.

After purchasing my photo album we were about to head back up to our room when I noticed the atrium was deserted so we decided to go get our pictures taken with the Mickey statue.

I wish Mom had told me to pull down my shirt. :headache:

We went back to our room after that and got ready for the pool. We had no plans other than to lay by the pool all afternoon.

We started off with some chairs up on deck 10 but Mom was able to snag two chairs right next to the pool down on deck 9 so we moved down there. It was a great location. Deck 10 is nice and quiet but nothing beats being right next to the pool. Turns out that we were sitting next to one of the girls who was "hypnotized" the night before along with her twin brother. Everybody kept coming over and talking to them about it so I eavesdropped. Some of the comments these people made were very amusing.

It was VERY hot that day. I was in and out of the pool all afternoon keeping cool. It was a great afternoon. Nice hot SUNNY Caribbean weather, fun cruise mates, fun music, a good book and a pool. Can't get much better.

I snagged a few slices of pizza from Pinocchio's for an early lunch and then later in the afternoon I indulged in some chicken strips and veggies. All very yummy!

We stayed poolside until about 3:40-4. Right before we left David from Canada (one of the cruise staff) came out to perform for us at the adult pool. He crooned some of his own original songs, he was actually pretty good!

I don't blame you at all about the pics in Shutters...I thought the same thing...They were very expensive!!

I loved David on our cruise. He was hilarious...and don't tell my DH, but I thought he was kinda HOT too!!

He was always very charismatic and fun. I can see why he is put in charge of the adult entertainment. My favourite David moment was on our first sea day when he jumped in the pool during the Adult Pool Games to try and hold the guys back from winning.

You're making me want to go on another cruise, but we can't do it probably until 2011 :sad2:

You should join us on the May 29th, 2011 double dip cruise. :thumbsup2

Great idea taking pics of the ones they were selling!! :thumbsup2 I do that all the time in the parks on the rides where they take your pic!! ;) Can't wait to hear more! :goodvibes

 I do that too. I was really breaking the rules with the Shutters photos though as there are signs up all over the place telling you not to. :rolleyes1

I really wish that Disney would can the contract with Shutters and run the photography service themselves and make it more like photopass where you can order a cd with all your photos and where you have the option of viewing them online once you get home. I bet they would sell a lot more photos if they made it more affordable and convenient. Apparently you can buy a cd from Shutters of all your photos but it costs somewhere around $400! They don't take nearly enough pictures for that price to be anywhere near reasonable.

Sounds like fun! I'd do it if I could afford it! Who's going? Family, ladies only?

Just me and mom. Alek and Erich have no interest in cruising. :sad2: There are already a ton of Disers signed up to go according to the cruise meet thread. Should be fun. :thumbsup2
