My family hasnt taken on the world in a couple of years soooo.... this is the cast of characters:

Me: 43, the wife and planner of all travel... travel includes WDW, the Caribbean and the last 3 years mostly cruising..

DH:41 yrs old, he just goes along with the plan..... loves to travel but doesnt like to plan things..... he has the attitude, "who cares, we're on vacation".

DS:14 yrs old... the best son anyone could ask for, loves the best of everything, travel,lobster.... etc. etc.

So my family travels to FL. every year for thanksgiving vacation... we spend turkey day with my parents who have a house in Daytona and usually hit the world... we havent gone to WDW in 3 yrs. There can be anywhere from 11 to 17 people staying at my parents house... This year there is 11 cause my brother couldn't get off from work for Thanksgiving... We thought he would surprise us, but tomorrow is Tday and it doesnt look like he will be here... it doesnt help that his family just went to Europe for 3 weeks either....


I had dropped off my yorkie on Friday nite at the doggy nanny.. she is awesome, she watched my dog for a 10 day cruise we went on in February... Saturday we left for the World. The flight was fine, 2 bloody marys later, and we were good to go... We stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort in the pirate room... it was soooo cool. My DS loved it... We were in Trinidad South bldg 35... good location, not too far from Port Royal.... Good exercise...

After we landed and checked in, we went to play Fantasia Mini Golf.... we played the Fairways course, which is really hard.. now i play golf now and then, but my DH and DS are really good and play all the time.... Well on hole no. 2, who hit a hole in one.... ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited... well it turns out that my DS and DH also hit a hole in one later in the round... it was soo much fun!!!

I am in! I would love to visit family for Thanksgiving in Florida.. but my snowbird aunt and uncle havent gotten back to Florida yet..

You dog nanny want to come to Kansas City? No one I know will keep our Jack Russell.. I feel so bad making her be kenneled for like 9 days in Feb..

Hi microcel... havent been on in a while, sicknesses all around... my doggy nanny is wonderful... she only takes small dogs which is great because my yorkie is only 6 pounds..... the first time we left him was for a 10 day cruise and i was a nervous wreck!!!! but this lady is wonderful... so back to my TR... what i can remember....

Sooo after I beat my DH and DS in mini golf, it was off to Downtown Disney. We had ressies @ Ragland Road for 7:15 and it was only after 6:00. We decided to see if we could get in early... It wasnt crowded at all and were seated right away! We loved the food. My ds had salmon, and both my DH and I had the sirloin steak. The desserts were the best. Bread pudding, baileys creme bulee and i had some chocolate torte, i think... I dont know if i mentioned that we did the Dining Plan for the first time on this trip. It worked out great... The total bill was $133.00, but we paid $18.50 (for wine) and plus a tip to our wonderful waiter Clint....

After that, we headed back to CBR for a much needed rest... it was a long day of traveling... but everything went well!!!
