I just saw the new movie Temrinator Salvation, and must say I thoroughly enjoy it. Many others will hate it, many others will love it. Either way, one things for sure, it is completely different than the first three, almost reinventing the franchise. The reviews haven't been too hot, but the cast is signed on to do two more, which leads me to my question.

Will they re-theme the T2 attraction to fit to a wider appeal? I would usually say no, but here's the thing. Sinc the lazy (if not mildly enterataining) third one changed the entire event sin T2 and this new one is a totally different future, wouldn't the continuity be kinda changed? Also, the new ones are PG-13 leading to a wider audience appeal? OR...Dare I say they completely remove the T2 atrtraction for this reason instead? I certainly hope not

I've heard mixed reviews about Terminator Salvation. More good than bad, so I'll be seeing it this weekend.

As for T2:3D, why change it? It's based on the T1 & T2 storyline/franchise/timeline. T2:3D is it's own entity. T3/T4 may follow some of the movie canon, but they take place in a different reality.

Ah, the paradoxes of Time Travel. ;)

Unless the film grosses like a bajillion dollars, we won't be seeing any changes. If anything, we'll see some new items in the gift shop. That's about it.

Oh GOD no! T1/T2/T2:3D are the real timeline. Everything else is just a poor attempt at trying to cash in on a phenomenon. If James Cameron (Writer/Director/Producer/Creater of the Terminator Franchise) isnt making it, it doesnt count.

I would be ALIENATED beyond belief if they altered/changed/or removed this attration.

IMO, T2:3D is the real T3. Everything after is just a cheap spoof.

why would anyone want to change a great thing? if it's not broke, why fix it?
T2 is what it is.

T2 is kewl just the way it is......

I agree leave T2 alone and if this movie does great then it will only peak more interest in the attraction :thumbsup2

I hope they dont change it.... Especially how skynet looks its much better in the 3d show. Also changing it would probably mean taking out Arnold which would be the downfall of the ride for fans of the series. So far it hasnt made a profit and even though the actors are signed on we may never see 2 more if it doesnt bring in more then it has.

My personal opinion about the movie is it was just an ok movie. The last 10 mins were fun to watch when Arnold showed up but other then that it was an hour and a half of pretty much semi boring with Terminators tossing ppl around a room. I honestly liked seeing Arnold in the movie it looked awesome but it sorta raises the question for me...Why in 10 years have they not made a better Terminator to send back in time? Also wouldnt they just put the skin on him to get sent through time cuz only human flesh can go back? Why was he skinned if for no other reason to draw in an audience?

Ya know I was just thinking and how in the world does Skynet know anything about Reese and Connor. They weren't top soldiers why are the 1 on hitlist? How does Skynet know the future of Connor to take control and defeat them at this point? These movies cant require too much thought or you will find holes in nearly everything but idk just thought of that and doesnt make sense skynet would know about them and rly know Reese was his father ever because only Connor rly knew.

To sum up... Dont change show pls Universal, its great...everything so far after T2 has been only semi watchable movies and not great Terminator movies.

Arnold is the Terminator.
He is the movie.......

Yeah, Arnold is The Terminator. However, just having Arnold doesnt make a good Terminator film (See the atrocious, abominable T3). The real miracle worker is James Cameron. He is EVERYTHING in the Terminator universe. Without him, is doesnt even count. Arnold is only half of the whole. Only part of the big picture. Without James Cameron, The Terminator is nothing. :snooty:

sounds good.
i can agree with that too.

hehe, :) thats why T1/T2/T2:3D are sooo excellent. Because of Cameron's brains. He allowed Arnold to be all he could be. Cameron & Arnold were a perfect pair. However, when T3 came around without James Cameron, it was, to put it lightly, a farce. A spoof. An inferior cluster *uhem*.... An utter disaster and embarrassment!

Even though T4 wasnt that bad, it still didnt measure up. Thats why I hope they never change or alter T2:3D. Its the last real "Terminator" we'll ever get. :sad2:

Sorry for my rant. :3dglasses
