I am trying to get in shape for the summer, so running is one of the ways
I’ve been there once or twice, but have not in a number of years. And just north of there is another park that is called Chattahoochee point and it’s right where the river makes a sharp left turn. I did either a 5K or a 10k there once and it’s sort of a trail run in that it is dirt and gravel, but fairly flat. The nice thing is to walk down next to the river and feel the temperature drop a good 10° due to the coldness of the water. (for anyone not familiar, the Chattahoochee River is stupidly cold where it comes out from underneath Buford Dam, and for the next seven or 8 miles.)Always fun when you discover nice running areas near your neighborhood. In looking for a 5-K for later this summer I stumbled upon a park about 10 minutes from my house that has a 3.1 mile rubberized running path that is 98% flat with nice bathrooms, parking and water fountains if needed. The rubberized surface is getting a bit worn and the majority of the path is exposed to the sun, but a great alternative when my other flat path gets flooded (which happens often since its a greenway park in a flood zone). @Mr. lncredible its Cauley Creek Park near McGinnis Ferry.

I went in with the goal of keeping a pace of between 8:05 and 8:10, and worrying I wouldn't be able to maintain that. For reference, my original goal when I asked @DopeyBadger for a training plan was sub 25.
I finished in 24:25, completely surprising myself! Also a huge surprise - I finished first in my division! I went in hoping I'd make top 3, and was shocked when I saw I finished first.

Stephanie Case was the female winner of the Snowdonia 100k on May 17 at 43 yo, 6 months postpartum, and took breaks at 20k, 50k, and 80k to breastfeed her baby. She finished in 16:53:22. Talk about amazing!

What is the model that they are selling? I'm looking for an over the ear style, but it absolutely has to have buttons to control the volume and song selection (i.e. no tap once for this, tap twice for this, tap three times and spin in a circle to do this). I'm thinking that these are not what I'm looking for, but can anyone help me confirm this.
