Wow. Not a great end to the day here. Owen, our 9 1/2 year old English Bulldog very unexpectedly passed away this evening. He had had a great day full of mommy time and treats and was in excellent health other than his nagging bulldog allergies. DW heard him thrash around for a second like he was scratching his back and when she went to put him to bed a few minutes later, he was gone. Our best guess is a massive sudden heart attack. Rest In Peace, big guy.

Who runs with their pets? Have you seen anyone run with anything but a dog?
Gantu will be our distance running buddy once he is two and thus fully grown. He sticks to around a mile with us right now about once a week. He stays pretty focused on us and at our paces unless he needs to poop which puts him in a dead stop and can trip us up so now we make sure he’s gone before the run. His first 5k will be next January. We hope to try for his Endurance Trial title at the Rhodesian ClubNationals in November 2020 which is a 12 mile run done in 4 mile segments with obediance and medical checks at each segment. It’s in Texas that year so at least our climate is good for training there! As LSUlakes has yet to check in with a question of the day, I would like to move the pet discussion to running.

I think it's called P**-mail.Short walks were his social media time, though, and he enjoyed updating his status on every bush or pile of cut grass we came across.
