QOTD: Do you use a fuel belt / hydration system for your runs? Do you use them for every run, or just runs of "x" miles or "x" time? Do you also run your races with them?
I really don't like carrying anything with me (this is one of the reasons I don't listen to music either). I also don't like running multiple circuits or loops, so I plan out my route, and if it's longer than about 90 minutes, I will actually take the car and drop a water bottle or two (sometimes Gatorade) at locations where I will need them. I then put a GU packet or two in my zippered shorts pocket, and off I go. When I get to a water bottle, I will carry it for a bit as I drink on the run, then deposit it into a garbage can along the way (or I will place it where I can return by car to retrieve it afterwards). Most of my runs are under 90 minutes, so this process doesn't occur too often (at most once a week when I'm doing my longer training runs).
Also, for races, I carry GU in my zippered shorts pocket and use the water stops they provide.
