QOTD: With cooler temps and higher mileage, we as runners seem to be at a higher risk to catching the common cold. What do you do to try to prevent from getting sick during the fall and winter while ramping up the training? If you do get sick what do you do to try to recover quickly?
This week we have the following folks with races:
14 - @gjramsey - Capital to Coast Relay (NG / N/A)

15 - @jhorstma - Lake Powell Half Marathon (2:59:00 / N/A)

Per the usual, if you would like to revise your goal time, just let me know. Good luck to everyone this week!
I wash my hands and drink a ton of water. Other than that, I just make sure to eat and sleep well. I also haven't been too worried now that the race I had been training for most is done.QOTD: With cooler temps and higher mileage, we as runners seem to be at a higher risk to catching the common cold. Ugh, did I really say 4 hours for a 50K trail race? I must have been drinking when I came up with that goal. I'm going to change that to 4:15 and even that is a stretch. I think my goal should just be to hit the Hillbilly Beer Aid Station on both loops, that's one I can handle![]()

With my allergies and sinus issues I can never tell if I have a cold or not. Running actually clears up my stuffed up nose so that helps. Otherwise I take allergy and/or cold medication. I never really get full on sick though. An occasional cough and runny nose is about it.
Random Question to my Disney loving friends... How much time can you spend at Disney Springs? 1/2 day?
We got really really cheap flights ($92 roundtrip) for the beginning of November and are planning on doing HP World this trip and staying at my inlaws time share. I've never stayed off site at Disney/not had Disney park tickets. I was thinking of going to DS for a bit to help ease my no-Disney trauma.
