The Royal Wedding

Aahh. That's cheating lol

Ahhh, it's a wonderful month to work in teaching! :goodvibes

Yep, 7 teaching days in April, brilliant!!

As for the wedding, I couldn't care less but am happy for the day off.

Maybe I'd feel happier about it if my taxes weren't paying for the wedding of a family of free-loading mooches during a recession ;)

:goodvibes

Aw I too can't wait to see the wedding. I'm a Brit so benefitting from the extra bank holiday off work which is lovely- but I'll be spending the day with family watching. I wasn't born when Diana was married but Mum watched that wedding- she loves Diana so think she'll be referencing her a lot on Friday!!

Worse when they holiday in your neck of the woods and expect you to be grateful for the extra police presence that is necessitated :headache:

If they are such a boon for tourism let those that benefit pay for them :lmao::cloud9:

WOW - you american are crazy for getting up at silly o'clock to watch it! But good luck to you and have fun :o)

I was getting sick of all the royal wedding talk at first, but now i'm excited. I will be watching for two reasons : 1. The dress & 2. the flowers.

My other half will be at work so I might even watch it in my wedding tiara he he

i just realized the weddings on friday...i thought it was sunday..

well friday i will certainly not be watching...
the wedding falls in the middle of our weekly cafe lunch...

every friday, like clockwork, the six of us (DH, me, DD and husband, DS and wife) have lunch in a cafe......
i'm sure the royal family will manage just fine without us :)

I am really looking forward to seeing it I imagine it will be a spectacular day. :goodvibes

well depending on where you live you may be able to catch it before you actually leave for work.

the actual ceremony starts at 6am eastern time.

Could someone post photos if the UK area tomorrow? It is supposed to be decorated and there will be some special things going on at RoseNCrown!

Thanks!

Cheerio!!!!

I hope to be up to watch it. I was a twinkle in my parents eye when Charles and Diana got married. I was just telling my future MIL that it's nice to dream and to be able to see history in the making is really cool.

I'm getting up early to watch it, maybe at like 4am?
I didn't really want to watch it at first, but if 2 billion people will be watching it than why not make it 2,000,000,001.

Does anyone know if the UK in Epcot is doing anything tomorrow?

I know the wedding will be long over by the time Epcot opens but i'd like to think they will be doing somethings there.

At first I was against the Royal Wedding and watching it, but i'm glad I watched it. So beautiful.

It was a very nice wedding, I remember watching Charles and Di when I was 8 years old, how rhings have changed

Beautiful wedding. So glad I got up to watch. I hope Wills & Kate will be very, very happy.
Happy Wedding Day/Holiday to all the Brits.

Beautiful wedding with such a radiant couple. Didn't plan to be up to watch it, but stuff happened. Glad I watched, sort of full circle after watching Diana & Charles' wedding back in '81.

Ok, so I cheated. I slept in until a whopping 6:30 this morning when my little one decided it was time to get up... Then I watched the coverage on my dvr - still watching now actually and I'm up to about 1pm London time - everyone headed up the mall to the palace to see the big kiss. I love her dress and seeing as today is my third anniversary :lovestruc I'm enjoying all the wedding spectacle!

My dh cannot understand why people wanted to be at the wedding when most of them couldn't see a thing, and why on earth anyone would want to be in the crowd along the route to and from the wedding. Silly boy!

2 questions though - why did he not get a wedding ring and why no "you may now kiss the bride"
