The "Roomba"... does it work on tile?

Does the Roomba really work? What is your experience with it? Hubby was saying he wished we had self cleaning floors and it made me think of the Roomba. We have carpet and tile, but mostly tile...will it work on both?

I have mostly carpet, but I do have tile in my kitchen, laundry, and baths. I have hardwood in my foyer and downstairs hallway. I use the Roomba on those areas, and it seems to do a good job. It gets up under the edge of the kitchen cabinets too, which is nice.

There's also something called a Scooba, which is similar, but wets cleans your floors.

I had a Roomba til it died after only 2 years of use - but yes, it did work perfectly on carpet, tile & hardwood.

I LOVE the Roomba. I have had one for 5 years. We have hardwood floors and tile. It is such a great tool, helps tremendously since we have three dogs. We are on our second unit, had to go buy a new one the same week the other one stopped working.

Yes. We have hardwood floors throughout with the exception of the tile around the fireplace and a rug in the LR. The Roomba goes from one to the other with ease and does a good job. You will love it.

we have hardwood floors and it works well, but it doesn't hold much dirt, because, well, it's small, lol, so you need to clean it out often. I have long, thin hair that tends to get tangled around the brushes, so that's a big pain, but I've had that problem with other vacuums.

I don't have tile, yet (we'll be doing that soon) but it does adapt to any kind of floor. We have thick carpet, vinyl and hard wood and it goes between al 3 f those floors without a problem.
