My school's taking a Paris/Southern France trip!!
At first it was called off, because of the Euro-dollar exchange rate, but it's back on.
I'm crazy excited, I've been wanting to go to Paris for as long as I can remember.
Only problem is, there's more interest than there are spaces available. And since I'm not currently taking French (I'm switching languages next year) I'm not guaranteed a spot :/

So, this thread was basically just to channel my excitement and to have you all wish me luck in getting a space XD

Have any of you guys been to Paris?

I'll be visiting Paris, Normandie, Bretagne, and St. Malo in July. We'll be in Paris for Bastille day and St. Malo for my birthday! I'm so excited!

im going to france this summer!! i cant wait either!!

oh i really reeally hope that you get on the trip!!

to answer your question, no, i've never been to france, but i would like to go one day, for immersion purposes.

OMG! I was in France about a month ago. St. Malo is BEAUTIFUL! The view of the ocean from the ramparts is amazing, and all the little streets are so pretty. Normandy and Brittany are SO pretty... Touring them was my favorite part of the trip. (We visited Rouen, Honfleur, St. Malo, Rennes, Deauville, Amboise, Chenonceau, Loches, Chartres, and Paris)

If you go to any touristy shops in Brittany that have blue and white bowls with a picture of two people in the middle that you can personalize, take a picture for me! I kept meaning to get one for my mom, but by the time I wanted to get it I couldn't find them anywhere, lol.

You're going to have so much fun!

And to answer the OP's question...

Yes, I've been to Paris twice. It's the most beautiful place I've been in my life. The architecture is so pretty, and... ack, I can't describe it! The city just has some sort of magic that I can't explain.

I hope you can go, it's a trip you'll never forget. :)

I dunno. Do you think you could stowaway on the airplane? Cuz that's the only way I can see of getting you there.

Yep, I went on a school trip waaay back when I was only 15 (in 2005 that is)
it was literally the most amazing, gratifying, eye opening, fantastic expirience I have ever had.
It was like, 3 years ago and I still remember every amazzing detail like it was yesterday. I am dyyying to go back.
The art, the architecture, the history, the language, the FOOD!, the FASHION!! the shopping!! EVERYTHING!

Yup i went in October 2002 and July 2007. From what i can remember october was freezing and july was boiling one day and lukewarm (for lack of a better the word) the other days. Of course coming from wales me and you probably have a different idea of warm and cold.
It's pretty, traffic in paris is a nightmare and nobody stops at red lights but it's pretty.

I've never been.
Might go in a couple of years when I'm eligible for the euro-trip, but I may decide to do a family vacation instead, because..
Oh I don't know why.

Unfortunatly, I have never been.
My school had a trip this spring break, but no freshman were allowed to go.
They do that every other year or so, so as a junior, I may be able to go.

Good Luck, and I hope you get a spot!

Wow, that just got me even MORE excited (I didn't think that was possible!!)

And thanks for the good luck, everyone :]

Yeah, I've been to Paris twice.
Once 5 years ago when I was 13 with the school we toured Paris, saw all the sights, and then went to Disneyland!
Then when I was 15 I went again with the school and had another tour of Paris, but this time we went up the Eiffel Tower. We also went to Normandy on that trip and visited the D-Day landing beaches.
Paris is so pretty, I love it.
Hope you get to go, you would love it.

Not yet.
My family is probably going in 2010 :)

Good luck, I hope you get a spot!
