what do you mean extended?? it was going to be open all day just the t-shirts were not going to be given all day. it is not extended at all.

OMG, I am so happy! Due to commitments, I haven't been on vmk all day until just now. I was in line for everest survivor, when the pop up appeared that the rides will be open until vmk closes today! I am one happy lady!

No, it was going to close I thought, at 6. Now it will close at 10.

no, because it is a ALL DAY ride-a-thon and all times go by Pacific time and 10 is when vmk closes and that is 1 eastern time. and the rides opened at opening today not at 1 pacific and 3 eastern.

They sent a pop up (in the middle of my HM game) very recently stating that the Ride A thon rooms would remain open until 10pm PST. This is what ppl are talking about VMK Krazyluke. No need to be so argumentive about it.
When I was finally able to log on, all the ride a thon rooms were gone and only the everest host game was on. I assumed it had ended.
Lets just be glad they are still on, regardless of who is right! Geez

I sat here for 5 hours from l to 6 the original hours listed, and managed to stay in the game only l hour and l5 minutes. I though with all the trouble they might stay open longer but after waiting another half hour after the official closing and nothing happened I logged off for the night and went and did something else.

Now you tell me they opened it up again after 6:30. Thanks a lot to VMK for another - oh so wonderful event----not.

Oh yes they sure did-they kept it opened until close where the lines went down to about 10 people! They also opened it this morning at opening! The calendar DID say 1-6 PST for the ride a thon. I specifically rememeber because I told a couple of friends to go have fun since it would not start until 3 my time! Was I shocked that they opened it early? NOPE. Was I shocked that it went down a couple of times? NOPE. Was I at all surprised to see anything different than any other event ran by VMK? NOPE. All I can do is sit back and be glad it is over!

I was surprised to see the Ride rooms open again..and so glad they were! With all the problems and closings earlier today, VMK did the right thing by letting the rooms fly until closing!

I was surprised by the early opening and the late closing. AND I would not have known about either had it not been for DIS boards!! Thank you all for keeping us informed.

They are right, the t-shirts were from 1-6 Pacific (4-9 Eastern)

Well I think that the whole prize for the Ride-a-thon is just STUPID!!

It was the prize for the Everest Competition! I mean they just gave my parents and other runners-up pretty much NO PRIZE, because now everyone has one!!

Ugh thats dumb. I logged on, and tried to see if the rooms were open. At 5:56 (Pacific time) they weren't open. So I hung around going into trade rooms for a while. After that I gave up hoping they'd extend it. Oh, if I'd only just stayed on for ten more minutes! Oh well At least I got a few chairs.
