Chapter 12. Recapping Day 2.

I'm doing an extra update tonight because I will be gone this weekend at a college/Young Adult retreat. So I probably won't update again until Sunday night at the earliest. I may be on a little this weekend, but I highly doubt it. I also really wanted to finish up Day 2/my first full day because......I've now officially been back 1 month. It really does seem like so long ago. Doing this TR definitely keeps the trip alive for a bit longer. If this TR holds true to form, I will be finishing this in February 2011.

So once again, here's my original itinerary. Let's see how I did:

Saturday, February 6th, 2010
Magic Kingdom: 9am-10pm. Epcot FW: 9am-7pm. Epcot WS: 11am-9pm. DHS: 9am-8pm. Animal Kingdom: 9am-6pm. Typhoon Lagoon: 10am-5pm. EMH AM: DHS. National Dance Competition

8:00am Up/Shower
8:30am Head to Poly for Breakfast
9:30am Breakfast w/ Cherie and DJay(9 TS/8)
11:00am Head to Epcot
11:45am Tour Epcot

Test Track SR 30 minutes
Mission: Space 30 minutes
Browse/Shop 30 minutes

I did pretty good during this part. Test Track 2x, Imagination, Living with the Land, Nemo.

1:15pm Head to Magic Kingdom
2:00pm Tour/Grab FP for SM (Meet up with Kim and Allan)

Buzz Lightyear 30 minutes
Space Mountain 30 minutes
Pirates 30 minutes
BTMRR 30 minutes

4:00pm (Wendy and Gang arrive at MCO)
4:00pm Tour

Haunted Mansion 30 minutes
Hall of Presidents 30 minutes

No Magic Kingdom. No Kim and Allan

5:00pm Kim and Allan head back/Jordan heads over to The Wave
5:35pm Dinner-The Wave (9 TS/7) DIS Dinner
7:15pm Back to MK
7:30pm Tour with DIS crew
10:00pm Head back to Pop
10:45pm Hangout
Midnight Sleep

Didn't go to MK, but did hang out at Pop. I think I hit the sack around 1:30am.

Cool, I think Wendy is going to monitor my DIS time...we usually compete for our family iMac although we have plenty of other computers in the house (2 desktop HPs for the kids, 1 HP laptop, her work Mac laptop, and an old Sony Vaio laptop laying around)....

Derek....If you have a lap top lying around that you would be willing to get rid of, I'm willing to talk to you about buying it. It would be for another DISer on here who spends three weeks at a time with her daughter in the hospital all to frequently. (like right now ) Her daughter has CF, you've probably seen her on Jordy's thread....Pipersmom. She just had a Wish Trip to WDW, and would probably love to be able to pass the time in the hospital DISing about the the trip. PM me and let me know what you think about that extra lap top laying around your house, even if it needs a little work it's OK...my DH's passion is fixing computers and cars. What a combination, right?!? She would only need it for DISing and uploading pictures, so anything fancy isn't really needed.

I have that or CMT on every morning from when i wake up until the kids are coming home from school...

So, Terry just went to sit in his computer chair and misjudged where it was and just about fell right on his "booty"... He barely caught himself and then turned his head around real quick to see if I noticed...

So I of course did what any loving wife would do... I told him i was going to tell all of our internet friends what a total dork he is!!

OMGosh! I almost peed myself reading this, and the funniest part was not the falling as much as you saying to him your going to tell us what he did!

If only my brothers had your discretion when it came to poofing. I will never forget the great fart incident of 2007. Alek let the loudest and smelliest fart rip right in the middle of the Syracuse airport. We were at our gate too so the people who witnessed the incident all had to get on a plane with us. It was mortifying!

Sorry Jordan! I'm FOUR updates behind!! Why are you moving so fast?!?!

Just kidding! I loved getting a full dose of Jordan this morning.

You had such a jam-packed, fun-filled day. How awesome that you got to spend so much time already with your Disfriends and Jordan family... and it's just your first day!!

The story that stuck out to me was the bus situation at MK and how you had to walk all the way around to the POP buses, or else a CM might ticket you for jay-walking. Of course, I completely understand Disney's need to keep things safe... but I keep thinking about New York City... and how people just walk everywhere... through traffic, crowds, cabs, construction... and very rarely do folks get hurt. I don't know why, but that's what it made me think of!

And the other story that is STILL stuck in my mind... the gas/elevation story.

On the way to the bus stop, we're talking and all of a sudden we hear a rustling and a laugh. We turn around and Winkers apparently had fallen, or almost fallen, in the bushes. No one pushed her. She didn't trip. She just walked into the planter and kind of starting falling...I don't know if she can explain it, but she must just be listening to the rest of us talk and not really pay attention to where she's walking...Thank God she wasn't driving a cab.

winkers, we are kindred spirits. sounds exactly like something i'd do. just wait til i'm more pregnant.....it will be a miracle if i don't have some horrible injury before it's over with!

You will be seeing Petals in upcoming updates...Will there be more drunk stories? Will I continue to be the drunk magnet? Will I be the star of my own drunk story?

There were two things that happened while we were sitting there. First off, I noticed I had gas--a lot of gas. A LOT! I kept having to back up and do my business, fan my behind, clear the air and walk back to the table.

ray calls that crop dusting. well, more specifically when we're, for example, grocery shopping and he poots and then fans it as he's walking (checking behind him, of course, to make sure no one sees hime). that's what he refers to as crop dusting. boys!

Second, it was cold and getting colder. When it gets cold..the headlights go on and I just had to keep warming "them" up:

i didn't know that men were so aware of their headlights.

It can be done, but I've only acheived it once with a fairly substantial blast in sub-zero temperatures.

As usual I am too far behind to catch up on everything, but it sounds like a great end to the day, just relaxing and enjoying the resort. Too bad it wasn't a little warmer, I can't believe there were people in the pool that late at night! Trout Pass was never open in the evenings, but that may be because it's a smaller bar than Petals?

In my defense................ok, well I guess there isn't one.

I failed to learn the important skill of walking, talking and looking at someone else. I don't even know what happened, one minute I was walking and laughing and the next I was hugging a shrub.

I was prepared for Jordy's gas issues...that's what the gas relief pills were for. Maybe I should have brought nose plugs and febreeze?
