Happy birthday Jordan! Sorry I'm a day late, but I took a sick day yesterday and slept all day trying to shake the cold I picked up at WDW.

And this morning on the news, I learned that women are more likely to get sick when they travel than men are. Also, women are more likely to come home with colds or stomach problems. Men are more likely to come home with fevers, infections from mosquito or tick bites, and...



STDs.

I'll take the cold!

Chapter 3. A room with a view-or not.

Sorry about the length of time between updates. Work is crazy and looks to get crazier over the next few months. I had a seminar this morning that I was supposed to go to, but decided to sleep in instead. Apparently, I needed it as I slept from about midnight last night til 10am this morning. Next week besides my normal work schedule, I have a meeting Tuesday night, Thursday night and all day Saturday. I think I have a meeting after church this Sunday, but I forget....
I will try and get 2-3 updates done a week. However, if you read my last TR, it did take me 15 months to finish the that one. So I hope you're a patient crew.

Just some food for thought. Don't you just hate it when you get up in the morning for your morning deposit. You do your due diligence. You're done. Only to find 15 minutes later that round 2 appears to making it's way down the pipes. Have to sit AGAIN. Wipe again. It's just bothersome. Anyways...just a little poo talk for the day. (There's the story Glenn)

Airplane details missed. As I was reading about thongs, g-strings being like dental floss and then going to Blueyed Girl's TR and seeing the fake teeth....I forgot a story about my plane ride from Vegas to MCO. I was sitting at the 15 degree angle waiting to take off when I hear a clicking noise. I look around only to see the guy across the aisle from me FLOSSING. Really? Where are all the chunks going? You know the ones that usually end up on your mirror at home. THEN, he has no place to put the 2 pieces of floss he used. Well, he found a home for the used floss....the magazine rack in his seat..... I died and went to heaven....he must've known I was writing a TR and needed some good stories...

Okay...now back to the TR....

Late Friday, Feb 5th/Early Saturday, Feb 6th

When I last left you I was heading to Pop. You remember, the affectionate couple? Yeah, THAT bus ride. It really wasn't bothersome as I was too excited to be at WDW. The bus driver did mention we were passing under the entrance sign, but I didn't even see it. Oh well....

We rolled up to Pop and I got my bags and gave the ME driver a tip and headed inside the front doors. Time: 12:30am. I was surprised that there were 2 guests in line in front of me, but it gave me time a snap off a POV pic. Here's what I saw while I was in line...

The line went really fast and I was getting my online check in. The CM was REALLY nice and super peppy for that time at night. I even told her it was nice to see her so happy! It made the check in very pleasant. She then showed me my room assignment.... 9434 in the 80s building. I had requested 50's lake view. I knew the time of my arrival might affect my chances of getting what I wanted. I thought for a nanosecond of requesting to move, but it was late and really I just wanted to get to my room. If I didn't like the room, I could always request a change tomorrow. So with my KTTW card, I was off....

I was sooo hungry..I hadn't eaten since breakfast. This is what greeted me:

No food for me tonight....I got to the room:

I didn't really take a ton of pictures of the room. You've seen the pix 1000's of times... I unpacked. I LOVE this ritual. I definitely have a place for everything. I've stayed at Pop 2 previous times so I kinda already have a place for everything already planned out in my head. It took a bit to unpack.

Photo theme Alert #2. What chonies am I wearing today?

Good in theory. Marginal execution. But there was so much talk about chonies on my PTR, I thought in tribute to those many discussions, I'd have a little game to entertain you throughout the report....Here are the chonies I brought:

I was finally unpacked and had to lay down for a little Stacey. Has it changed? It seemed different. If you notice the plastic cup on the top of the TV unit. I put a plastic cup out for my change collected throughout the week. Just FYI....

I was starving. So I took some cash and went in search of vending machines. I got off a shot of the closest pool. I dreamed of many afternoons lounging by the pool.

There aren't any food vending machines, except on the first floor. I was able to get some Gardetto's. Here's my first food porn pic of the trip.

I thought a bit more about my room location. Although not my 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 100th choice, it seemed like it was going to be a GREAT room. I am more of a glass half full kind of guy.

1. It was on the 4th floor. No people above me.
2. It was close to the stairs. Just 2 rooms away.
3. It was close to the pool.
4. It was VERY close to the bus stops!

I decided I'd probably stay with this location.

With that, I finally decided to hit the sack. I looked at the clock. 3am.....

Gardetto's. Love them but man that would not stave off hunger for me, at all. And it would make me seriously thirsty. The hunger pangs might get you up early despite the late bedtime.

I made a conscious decision to let it slide. The room location worked out very good. Really, no room at Pop is awful, awful. It probably has more to do with your neighbors than actual location.

ugh..the flossing i got chills just thinking of it. people amaze me. like the guy in swim trunks, and a towel who asked me to hold his hand on the way home from the bahamas because he was afraid (my dbf, now dh was snoring away and oblivious) at least he bought me a drink for dealing with him. we are still trying to decide whether to stay at pop for 10 days or cbr pirate room for 7 in august. i am leaning towards pop whaddya think?

I've stayed at both. I am always an advocate of staying as long as possible. That's just me. CBR-nice.
