Well, 4 pages later, I'm here to say thanks!! for giving me a shout out, J!

I've had an enormously fun time over there, and the banter is what makes it all so wonderful. Like you, the thread (but more importantly the friends I've made) have kept me going and sane in an otherwise, tough time in my "real" like. I hope the length of it, which is mostly fun yack, doesn't scare anyone away from joining up now!!

The Oakleys were way too small for my head...they looked like swim googles...

So hard to know when looking at a picture, huh?


I LOVED the D and G glasses, but since I am not buying them......

the raybans i'm thinking about rx 5095 rx 5069 and rx 5169 all in black frames...all similar too. so one of yours is a contender and MAYBE one of the D and G ones........maybe.

I loooove the D & G's the best, maybe the person replacing your glasses wouldn't mind you adding the other half of the money to buy the D & G's? Just a thought.

we do travel separately on occasion...not often,but occasionally. They go to HI all the time. I've never been.

Cruises to me are very relaxing. On one cruise, my inside stateroom was pitch black at night. The gentle rocking put me into a DEAD and I mean DEAD sleep every night. I never slept so well.

I've always wanted to go on a cruise, but I'm afraid of getting sea sick. Do the big ships feel like they are rocking all the time? Being on the boat going over to Catalina Island made me want to jump! I hated every second of it. Of course being on there with a lack of sleep hang-over didn't help I'm sure.
I'm also afraid if I go on a DCL I'll only be able to afford the cheapest room, you know the one's that don't have any windows and you feel like you can't breath because it's the size of a closet.
Do those rooms exist on the DCL?

Not sure about the glasses. We'll find out on Friday.

We've stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with concierge service and I've stayed in an small inside stateroom with no windows. The inside room was small for more than 2 people. The rocking can be bad. It really depends on the weather. It's barely noticeable most of the time. I've traveled with someone who is very motion sensitive and she did okay with the patch.

Good to know! Thanks Jordy. I doubt with the four of us we'd be able to stay in a state room, I think we'd have to have something bigger.
I've seen the DCL rooms that look like they only have one big bed but have some hidden other places to sleep, I saw this when watching the travel channel. I think they even had a balcony....I could be wrong on the balcony part. I guess I better look more into it.

Nighty, night. I'm tired and need to sleep while the sleepin is good.

for peepfest it's a 4 day...a nice intro to cruising....

All of them sleep 4. the family sleeps 5. all of them have the split bathroom which is unusual for cruises. one restroom has a sink with a shower/tub. the other a sink and a toilet. Small, but nice when you have more than 2 people staying in a stateroom. the family stateroom is about the same size as a value room at WDW....small-304 sq ft including the balcony...it's actually not too bad. We've done 3 in a smaller stateroom without feeling too cramped.

Hi Jordan! I fell a little bit behind then woke up this morning with a new visitor to my PTR. lauren_elizabeth popped over and mentioned a little pimping...

You are so sweet to pimp out my PTR! And actually we have less than a month to go!! (three weeks & two days... but who's counting...)

Just caught up on your last update - glad to see Kim & Allen finally caught up with you! I'm a little worried about possible weather delays for our February trip next year...

Jordan, we had company over the weekend so I am pages and pages behind. Thanks for including my PTR in your mega-pimp post! When lauren_elizabeth came over and mentioned a pimp-out I thought it was the old one, when I started the PTR. Very nice that you'd list a bunch of good threads to follow.

i just have to take enought pics of the campground to sell them on it when i get back, they are 95% sure they will go with us, but her mom is a little reluctant right now.
