George Bush sucks. I'm not going to blame 9/11 on him, and I'm not going to say he didn't handle it well, because he did. But Iraq is a mistake. I say 'is' because people are still dying. The evidence told us that Saddam didn't have weapons, and we attacked anyway saying he did. Years later, no weapons. Bush mislead us. There is a reason that 30% like him. what more, is that he is a republican shoving down his party's religious agenda down our throats. He is the one pushing for a Federal ban on gay marriage. He, along with his party, is trying to violate the civil rights of a large group of people.
I agree, 9/11 wasnt his fault. we were getting threats from the alquida siince Cliton was in office, and everyone just ignored them. He handled it pretty well. But there is NO reason that we should be in Iraq and Iran. The reason he told us we were in there was because Sadam had weapons of mass distruction, well he didnt and we didnt have an proof before either. I think we went in there because Bush wants EVERYONE to be like us, a democracy. He sees them and sees a "disfunctional" government, because it isnt like his. I dont think we should have ever went in there because 1. we didnt have a reason too, and 2. cuz there are more people dieing now then there were before.
and for the Katrina thing, it wasn't Bush's fault the people died. It was their Governor. I dont know if any of you live in New Orleans, but one of my best friends does and she told me that Bush wanted them to all get out before it started but their governor didnt issue a warning early enough. So that wasnt Bush's fault. But other than that, the reason our country is basically falling apart is his fault. He just cares about being rich, thats another reason why I think we are in iraq and Iran, cuz they have oil, and Bush owns an oil company.

It was the people that looked at the radar of planes and said, "Ah, it's probably just a glitch. We'll be okay." In the words of Carlos Mencia, DEE DEE DEE!!!!! Had they took that seriously, they would've been able to scramble and shoot them planes down before they attacked New York and the Pentagon. .

first of all i dont believe it is their "fault" if it is anybody's "fault" it is the people who hijacked the planes and CHOSE to kill thousands of innocent people. and if not their fault then it was their leader brainwashing them to think that doing this is what "allah wants" because that is not the faith from what i understand.

No offense again, but I don't want to remember 9/11 because when they talk about it on the news and other stuff, it breeds anger and fear that it can happen again. I'm not going to walk around in fear.

if people forget about what happened it WILL happen again. It's called history repeating itself from lack of education of the people. And if people start to forget the event that occurred they will also forget the lives that were lost on that tragic day.

I'm pretty sure I never heard Mencia say "DEE DEE DEE". More like "DUH DUH DUH". But psssh whatever. I'm laughing when Donkeyboy says that he wants to forget 9/11. Oh, so you wanna forget that? Do you want to forget the pushing out of thousands of natives in our country? Let's not even get into the slavery issue that had been. The thing is, you can't walk around saying, "this never happened". It DID happen and who is to blame? I'm really sick of people blaming others. Stop blaming and attempt to fix the problem. But what I'm REALLY sick of is Bush trying to fight for the democracy of another country, when our own nation is falling apart. Gas prices? Eventually all of that fuel is going to run out, and where will we be? Bush may say that he is "looking into other energy possibilites", but I'll believe it when I actually see significance. Another thing I don't understand is the illegal alien issue. Why are people cheering on for rights of illegal immigrants? What's that word in fron t of "immigrant"? Is that the word 'illegal' I see? What rights should ILLEGAL immigrants have? If you want good jobs and a better life, then immigrate legally. People bring up the "BUT AMERICA IS A NATION OF IMMIGRANTS OMGZZZZ". Yeah, legally.

UGH. That was more of a rant than anything.

OHHH and one more thing. Gay marriage...why is this still an issue? Can we look past this and fix more important problems before attempting this one?

Do you have any idea how gas works? We import gas from all over the world. Like that time at Katrina, there may have been an accident that may have caused a price flux.
There have been rumors that the wmd's were transported out before we came in. I know it is just a rumor, but there was also this top ranking general in the Iraqi Army who said he saw them with his own eyes and corroborated this story. Who knows, I am just glad there is one less egomaniacal pyshco out there.

duh?!? i'm not an idiot. :confused3 :sad2:

well im a pretty hard core democrat and i think Bush is possibly one of the worst presidents ever!.....however i do believe he handled 9/11 to the best of a new presidnets ability and it was in no way his fault....as for the gas prices, i really think its terrible how high prices are getting but i dont think most americans understand that our prices are CHEAP!! compared to other countries..prices in europe for gas are unbelievable so i would calm down and be thankful were atleast better of then other places...one of my biggest problems with Bush is his stubburn mindset, we honeslty are accomplishing nothing in Iraq, you cant change a nation that doesnt want to be changed...although some ignorrant americans would say different its prolly not going to happen....the US is spending over a BILLION dollars a week! in Iraq, a BILLION!! that is a ton of money roughly 52 billion dollars a year! seems like a waste of money to me...and when its all over thats what we will be able to thank the Bush administration for, running up a national debt we could never pay back

Reading a lot of these responses.. wow.
Bush hates black people.
Bush was behind 9/11.
What are they teaching in Government classes these days?

I don't even think the guy is that great of a President, and I'll tell you why. First, of course there's Iraq. The United States is currently constructing the largest diplomatic building in the world... in Iraq. It will be the US Embassy to Iraq. It will be over 100-acres and currently has it's onw water-treating plant and independent electric generators, in a country with very little clean water and few hours of electrcity in a day. What kind of foreign policy is this? Show the citizens of Iraq how much bigger and better we can be and maybe they'll like us? We booted Sadaam from his palace so we could build our own.
Then, there's of course tax cuts. They really only benefit the very wealthy, but countless hard-working Americans are duped into thinking they'll somehow help with their financial problems, depsite sky-rocketing gas prices and the like. I really don't need to government to refund me $12. I'd rather pay my fair share to support the public infrastrcture which I live by, being in public schools. Cutting taxes doesn't help, especially with a SOARING defecit that my kids and their kids will have to suffer for.
And the gay marriage ban Amendment is the biggest waste of space, ever.
He's not completely at fault, that's why I can't hate him. If anything, the executive bureacracies are extremely at fault for the disaster rescue effort after Hurricane Katrina and Congress did nothing to give funds to levy-support in New Orleans BEFORE Katrina. So essentially, the flooding in New Orleans could have been completely averted had some money been appointed to the rebuilding project.

And despite what some of you may think, I'm not some big liberal hippy from California. Although... I'm totally from California.

I'm sorry. I didn't know what I was saying. Here's what I mean't to say. The terrorist's intention, other than killing people, is to make the living's lives a living heck. They want you to be afraid of flying on planes and to live in fear that something bad will happen. And seeing the footage of terrorist attacks and such over and over again on TV makes some people fear even more. Those people don't get it, but a lot of people do. People are supposed to lookout for bad guys and such, not suspect that anybody you see could be a terrorist or there could be a bomb around the next corner. Bottom line, you want people to beware of bad guys. And "beware" doesn't mean "be afraid," it means "be aware." That's just how I feel.

I do not like Mr. Bush and I never have. We are not better off now then we were 6 years ago. He was voted in on his supposed morals, and I think that was a hoax.
I support the men and women in Iraq because it is their job, but I do not support Bush with the war. Iraq was just a reason to lash back. I feel bad for the Iraqi people and the hell they have been through.

But was it necesarry for us to change that? I mean, we can liberate a country with oil, but Sudan suffers. Sudan has no oil, and is in Africa. Nobody cares unless there is oppurtunity, or involves Africans.

Sudan has put themselves in the position they are in. Many, many years of Civil War has resulted in opression, famine, violence, and many other things. It's not just because they are in Africa. Honestly if we gave Sudan oil and whatnot, it might just fuel the problems there.

Also to say that nobody cares unless there is an opportuinity or involves Africans is ridiculous. Have you ever seen Black Hawk Down or heard of the conflict in Somalia?

Also just because a country is in Africa doesn't mean it's suffering. Sure the majority of countries are looking at things such as AIDS crisises or war or severe droughts, but I mean, there are a few countries in Africa that I really wouldn't mind living in. South Africa is one, Egypt is another.

well im from England so i dont know if this counts but i dont like Bush and i know a lot of people who also dont. But then again i dont like our prime minister Tony Blair either he just follows Bush like a sheep and does what ever he is told.

I was listening to Lewis Black earlier and he had something great to say, it pretty much went like this. "This country doesn't know what to do anymore, there's so much going on and the only thing the government is worrying about is Gay Marriage. I guess if they ban Gay Marriage, then gas prices will plummit, the Sunnis and Shiites will live in peace, and there will be no more Natural Disasters."
