Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong forum - I couldn't work out where to put it as this is not about a Disney Restaurant!

DW and I have started the first tentative steps towards planning our next trip (OMG, it's still over a year away!), and we're looking at a day trip to St Augustine as a break from all the parks. We've found this restaurant, which looks amazing on its website (well, it would, wouldn't it!) and we thought we might try it. So, my question is, has anyone else been there and, if so, what's it like?

Same here, never been to The Reef. St Augustine is perhaps our favorite place on the planet, and hubby and I go there at least 2 or 3 times a year. If you want to PM me, I would be happy to give you more info on restaurants, sights to see, etc.

Never been to the Reef, but like Conch House on A1A south of town and Harry's I beleive on main st. across bridge on right. Also across the bridge on left A1A Brew Works.O'steins(spell) was in coastel living Magizine as one of the best dives. Enjoy we love it there for a day trip from Daytona Beach.

My husband and I have been to St. Augustine dozens of times and only visited The Reef once. We weren't that impressed. The location was great, right on the water, but the food just was so-so.
If you are looking for a really high-end romantic night out, I suggest The Raintree. It's pricey, but very nice and the food is wonderful.
Less expensive and very good is Creekside Dinery. My great-uncle lives in St. Augustine and he takes us there when we visit.
Iif you aren't worried about romance, but just want great seafood, try O'Steen's or Barnacle Bill's.

IM me if you have any questions!

You are correct in saying this isn't in the right place on the Disney restaurant board - I am moving it to the Community Board.

First off, thanks for putting me straight - I knew the Disney Restaurants forum was not the right place; I just couldn't work out which was!

Okay, thanks very much for all the input. I've had a trawl through the websites I can find (O'Steen's doesn't appear to have one), and I very much like the look of Creekside Dinery and A1A Ale Works (I take it that's the Brew Works you referred to?). DW is not a seafood eater, so we need somewhere with a bit of choice for her as well as me and our DS's, all of whom LOVE seafood! Those two places have certainly got some stuff on their menus that DW will be able to tuck into. Barnacle Bill's looks a little more limiting for her.

Thanks again for your suggestions - with a year still to go I think I may have drooled over these menus quite a lot by the time we go!
