The Rebel Forces Were Strong But The Smith's Are Stronger TR-7/20 FINAL THOUGHTS

Banning Dis at work?!!! How dare they :scared1: Oh well....guess I should be happy I haven't been banned yet :rotfl2:

I'm here! Even though I was there, and I already have all the pics to prove it :) I can't wait to see how you tell the story.

I'm here!

That is my worst fear, stuck at the airport with nothing to do! Ugh! I would have been like LL or even started playing soccer with those kids just to keep busy!

Please tell me all about garden grocer! How do you order? :goodvibes

Yucky start but I am sure it got better! So excited to read your report!

I'm also with LL on what I would have done being stuck in Manchester. Can't wait to hear more!

Well they didn't technically ban DIS but they are monitoring our internet useage and we need to be able to defend our site choices as being "work-related" Can't really figure out how to fit DIS into that catergory :rotfl2:

You are definitely NOT allowed to give away secrets!

Nah the kids would have annoyed you!

OK...Garden Grocer. I ordered online two weeks before the trip (but technically you only need to order 3-4 days early. Here is the site:

http://gardengrocer.com/shipping_del.php

The customer service was amazing. They called to make sure that we really ordered since it was an out of state billing address and then they called that night to make sure we were happy with our order. The hotel kept it cold until we arrived. Everything was just like we ordered, the fruit was super fresh...we will DEFINITELY do it again. Totally worth the $12 shipping charge. Let me know if you have more questions

It EVENTUALLY got better but it got a little crazier first!

Coming up as soon as PB cooperates with my uploads!

I'm here! :yay: I caught bits and pieces on FB but I am sure there are things I missed. I am really looking forward to reading along...popcorn::

Photobucket is finally cooperating so here we go.....

Well since a lot of you were following along on FB, you know that we made rope drop! What kind of DISer could I claim to be if we let SLEEP get in the way of Disney??? :rotfl2:

We finally got Aisling to crash at 2am. Randy was in bed a couple of minutes later. Me, I stayed up to organize things and get everyone's clothes ready for the next day. I was slightly awake and figured that I would rather have the extra minutes to sleep on the other end. I was right. I finally got to bed between 2:30-3am and I swear I blinked and the alarm was going off at 6:30am. I got up and went out in the hall in my jammies to call Stacy. Not shockingly, her and the boys were up. I made plans to get ready and meet her downstairs at 7am. Stacy had made an amazing Star Wars dress for Aisling and I needed to get it from her.

Back in the room, the other 2 were still sound asleep. So I got showered/dressed in the dark. As I was heading out to Mara to meet Stacy, I woke up Randy. I ran downstairs quickly and got to meet Stacy's adorable sons for the first time. After some quick introductions, we made plans to meet out front at 8am. I went back to my room and went out on the balcony to take some pics.

Aisling heard me opening the slider and jumped out of bed. No saying "Good Morning Mommy"- no complaining about being woken up after 5 hours of sleep- not my child. She jumped out of bed and said "My animals!!!!" and ran out on the balcony to say good morning.

We quickly got breakfast into Aisling and got her dressed and actually made it out to the bus stop before Stacy and the boys....I couldn't believe it

I took a pic of our room number because I was so tired...I didn't know if we'd remember it at the end of the night ;) :rotfl:

While we were waiting for them to arrive, I took some pics of Randy and Ash. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until later that my camera was on the wrong setting. Oh well, you get the idea

Stacy and the boys arrived quickly there after. Aisling was so excited to meet her "pen pals" After more introductions, it was immediately onto Pin Trading

Our bus came fairly quickly and we were off to DHS. First order of business was getting our tickets. We had GAD tickets to trade in. I knew from DIS and calling Disney that we had to trade in our ticket at Will Call, get 1 day tickets, enter the park and then upgrade the tickets. Well that information was incorrect! When I went to the window, the CM informed me that I could just apply the GAD ticket worth to the cost of a length of stay ticket  AND she put them all on our room cards (Stacy ended up with a not-so-magical CM because she got paper tickets) While I was waiting for tickets, I was missing all the fun with the Stormtroopers entertaining the crowd. My family initially stood NEAR me but they just took off. The Stormtroopers were just too tempting.

In the meantime, I missed the Stormtroopers talking to the kids about their outfits. I joined them shortly after they opening the turnstiles so we could get into our rope drop locations

We had a plan to handle rope drop...would it work :confused3

NO clue why some of those pictures are coming out so big. They are showing as re-sized in PB...UGGGHHHH

WOW what a view!! I'm going to have to seriously consider renting points sometime because that view is AMAZING!! WOWZERS!!!!!!

That dress is simply stunning!! Kudos to Stacy...WOW!!!!

YAY for getting the ticket situation all fixed up that is great!!

AKL/V is a great resort. We'd still like to rent points at BCV next trip but if not, we would definitely stay there again. We really love the whole feel of the hotel.

I'm so impressed that you are able to get there for rope drop!!

Thank you! I really can't believe we did it either. If we weren't meeting people and it was longer trip, I can assure you that we wouldn't have gotten up!

I know I said it on FB...but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Aislings dress!!! I need to find Olivia a Stacy!!!!
Wow, rope drop on 3 hours of sleep! I know I could do it, but my hubby-no way! That is our fight on every trip, he says he is on vacation so he should get to sleep in, and I say, it's Disney, sleep when you are dead!
The pics from your room are great! We have only stayed at AKL twice, and didn't get a savanah view either time so I love seeing the views!
Can't wait for the next update!

great start! And technically you made it before us, but only because we were waiting in the lobby! :) I couldn't believe that you guys made it either! And you weren't grumpy at all. My boys would have been just terrible grumps.

You are my hero for making it to rope drop that morning! :worship: :rotfl: I'm not sure what I would have done, but getting teenagers up and moving would probably have been impossible! :rolleyes1

Ash's dress is amazing; wow! I miss sewing, maybe I need to get back into it!

We were grumpy inside...we just tried to fake it on the outside. Sounds like we did ok :rotfl2:

Well as you'll see by the upcoming segment...it was a good thing that we did get our bottoms out of bed because we wouldn't have gotten much accomplished if we hadn't.

I'm subscribing. I've always wanted to go to SWW, and the one year we booked a May trip, they switched it to June!

I'm here! :yay: I've been catching up and I'm loving it so far! :thumbsup2 Ugh, sorry your travel day was so terrible. Not a very magical way to enter the world, huh? But it sounds like Aisling was a trooper during the travel and the next morning. After all of that, I can't believe you made rope drop! I can't even do that after a normal travel day. Can't wait for more! popcorn::

Yay! You are a real trooper. I would never ever make it for rp if i went to sleep around the tiime you did. I love the AKL pictures.
