Golf is an honorable game, with the overwhelming majority of players being honorable people who don't need referees.

Golfers don't obviously scratch their privates on the golf course.

Golfers don't kick dirt on other people.

Golfers are compensated in direct proportion to how well they play.

Golfers don't get per diem and two seats on a charter flight when they travel between tournaments.

Golfers don't hold out for more money or demand new contracts because of another player's deal.

When golfers make a mistake, nobody is there to cover for them or back them up. golf is an honorable game

The PGA Tour raises more money for charity in one year than the National Football League does in two.

You can watch the best golfers in the world up close at any tournament, including the majors, all day, every day, for $25 or $30. The cost for a seat in the nosebleed section at the Super Bowl will be around $300 or more.

In golf you cannot fail 70% of the time and make $9 million a season.

Golf doesn't change its rules to attract fans.

Golfers keep their clothes on while they are being interviewed.

Golf doesn't have free agency.

In his prime Fred Couples would shake your hand and say he was happy to meet you. In his prime Jose Canseco wore T-shirts that read, "Leave Me Alone."

Golfers can't abuse drugs and alcohol and be successful.

You can hear birds chirping on the golf course during a tournament.
You will hear a steady stream of four letter words and nasty
name-calling in sports stadiums and arenas while you're hoping that no one spills beer on you.

Golf is an honorable game. It is healthy too, and Seniors can enjoy the game as long as they can remember where they hit their drives

I must have a lot of senior moments, I have a hard time finding where that little thing goes.

AMEN TONY !!!!

Man have you got that right. Golf is also one of the few games that men and women can play competitively with each other.

However....

...you haven't played with me lately :p :p :p jk........I don't cuss THAT much and I NEVER spill my beer.

Great post Tony !!!

Can't promise anything on the scratching part ;), but otherwise, it's completely true! :)

OK, I admit it.....you post is very accurate! Just don't tell my husband, ok? While I enjoy an occasional round, I'm not the fanatic my DH is. This time of year...every year....golf becomes just another 4-letter word!;)

I will say too that I'm glad to see how interested in the sport our 8 year old DS is. I think it's a great sport for kids to learn.

Golfers don't kick dirt on other people.

How true.

But I certainly toss enough on myself trying to plow my way out of the bunkers............ ;)

Go Gators!

Are you ready for some Zook Ball????!!!!!
