The reason we all hate teachers

My American History teacher is great at teaching, but is a compleate and utter nut case! I understand that most ppl inerested in history are, like me for example, are. However she has MASSIVE mood swings, i got shouted at cause i didnt understand her question then the next minute she was like, 'are you ok?, do you need extra help? Are you having a tough time at home?'
And when i mean shouted, i really mean had a right old go! I almost started the waterworks! Im such a baby when it comes to getting told off, my eyes get all watery and i cant help it. im almost 18 damn it!

We have had two teachers fired at our school for being pedophiles. One teacher was having "sexual relations" with a student and the other was just weird and creepy and most prevalently "into" the young girls.

He was like 50 years old or something and made girls with skirts get the stuff up high on a ladder, and then he would stand there and look up under her skirt. While boys or girls in pants would offer to get the items, he forced the girls wearing skirts to get them.

When he was my teacher, I had my hand raised and was watching my computer screen (he was the tech. ed. teacher) and it scared me half to death when I felt him grab my raised hand. I was so startled...I mean, teachers usually come over and ask, "what...?" and so forth, but he clutched onto my hand with both of his and held them there for what seemed like forever! When I took my hands away and put them clear away from his vision, he placed his hands on my sholders. I'll tell you, as a 7th grader, this was a very uncomfortable situation and I was so happy when he left. The entire way he would talk to me and my friends was not comforting...especially since 7th grade was around the age then, that everyone started understanding what a pedophile actually was. Needless to say I never raised my hand for help from him again! lol. Plus, he showed COMPLETE favoritism towards the girls.

Gosh...did you used to live in my town when you went to middle school? There was never any formal charge around here, but he DID ask girls in skirts to get things that he dropped. It was creepy.

I have a teacher who is a bit crazy. She teaches French, correction, TRIES to teach French. She knows how to conjugate verbs. She has memorized vocabulary. That is not fluency. She frequently says "Je ne suis pas un dictionaire!" when asked questions. She tries to give people "relationship advice." We have language labs in school, where she can record oral quizzes and that sort of thing. One buy was singing, thinking that it was off.
She played his song for the whole class.
AND my arch enemy sits next to me in that class!

I hate my french/scstudies teacher because he enforces the use of the french language like my parents make me supper every night. It's absolutely ridiculous, we cannot speak english during homeroom, we can loose about a million points for saying one sentence in english. It is infuriating.

I hate my math/science teacher because she's always in a bad mood. She's usually in a bad mood from her personal problems, which is probably going through her fourth month of being pregnant, and yells at us forever, apparently we're the worst class she's ever had.

My english teacher just doesn't really teach. Which I like, because he's really generous with grades.

Well, my stepdad's a teacher, and hes awesome. i would love to have him for a teacher. my geometry teacher,on the other hand..well, not so great. on tuesday i missed school because i had had and orthodontist appointment, and i missed a geometry quiz. i went to her yesterday morning to see when she wanted me to take it. she said i couldnt take it and i had a zero. if i miss 33 points in that class, i have a b. that quiz was worth 10.

You should go to the principal about it - it is an excused absence.. there should be a policy about missing stuff and making it up when it's excused.

My Econ/Government teacher this year who take off "class participation" points if you're not in class. Unless he signs an "educational trip form" you get points off.. field trips, chorus/band sectionals(that he gives permission to go to!), sick days, doctor appointments, etc.. And it's not like there is ANY class participation involved in the class at all!! He's such a spastic random teacher.. some days he'll give us the entire 42 minutes to do a 20 point worksheet - others he'll give us a 30 minutes of notes and then a 20 point worksheet... it's ridiculous.. I'm pulling an A- in that class and I'm fine with that.

My math I had Freshman-Junior year never gave homework Homecoming/Playoff week, but as soon as chorus/band concerts or spring musical came around she'd always give graded homework assignments and grade for correctness(despite her inability to teach trig.. but that's a different story)... Also - she's the field hockey coach - so she never fails any student athletes in her class no matter how much they deserve it because she thinks "it's annoying when all your players aren't allowed to play just because they're failing 2 major classes" I'm glad I don't have her this year!

In 8th grade my science teacher hated me so much. She loved everyone else but hated me, for no reason I might add. I made A's in her class and I was quiet but she would always pull me aside and say really mean things to me...

My science teacher this year is a quack he wears those hawwain shirts everyday and blasts pink floyd music all period . He also says things like " Are you smelling what I'm stepping in"

My geometry teach is wacko he'lll be like all on track talking about triangles or whatever then he'll go into talking about his son's thankgiving parade. ??? He never explains the stuff then yells at us when we have bad grades on our homework... Don't let me even get started with my basketball coach. She yells at us cause were not running fast enough or whatever but she's sitting in her big comfy chair the whole time and never gets up. She's sos lazy!!!


RANT RANT RANT!!! All my other teachers are awesome tho.

Another thing about French. We have to make bande dessinees, or comic strips. They have to be completely original, hand drawn comics. (As they are due tomorrow, I should probably get a move on!)
She essentially said:
"Est-ce que je peux parle en anglais pour une minute? [As if she doesn't speak in Enfglish the entire class anyway!] Now I know that everyone is not artistic. I respect that. Oui?? So, I have a plan. You can use clip art. However, if you use clip art, you won't fail, you just won't get as good a grade as anyone else. No get to work-and turn in high quality art. Remember that I am grading on neatness, pictures, and color. [The actual French writing part of it is ONLY 20% OF THE GRADE!!!]" She drives me nuts!

I get along with most of my teachers..I`m always respectful and just whatever I`m suppose to do..so most of the teachers like me..
but there are some teachers..they must really hate me..like my sociology teacher..
I`ve been missing that class for some weeks..and one day I showed up..and found out that I had to take a test..no one had told me...I had not been studying..I knew I wouldn`t do good on the test.. So I told the teacher why I didn`t think there was any point in taking the test if I knew I wouldn`t do good... She told me that I could just give it a try, do my best. "Ok, but...you won`t grade me based on that test only, right?" "Yea, I will..." "Uhh...yea....."

and I used to have this English teacher, that didn`t really speak English..
I mean, he could speak some English...but his grammar was all messed up..and couldn`t even pronounce most of the words correctly..
It was embarrassing just listening to him..
like this one time...a girl in my class asked; can we get off early today? "Ohh no, yooou" ...or what about "we are going today to read.." "I haven`t been here since this wednesday"... I don`t remember the worst things he said..but it was really bad.. can`t believe he was teaching us English.

That is stupid.
most of those people will leave school later in their lives, and perhaps land a job where they will speak or write french. I can see, within a month, them being fired for not being taught properly.
French where I live is incresingly important, and almost impossible to get a job without having that language. You take a test in grade 12, where you must speak fluently, and with ease in french, and you must get superior to pass, and be officially bilingual.
