Good morning, everyone! I know I haven't been around much... It's been enough for me to just try to keep up with the trs. Went to the back specialist yesterday and ugh... I'm starting myofascial treatments which really means incredibly deep tissue massages. Yes, massage sounds great, but this is going to hurt... Anyway, I also am getting corticosteroid injections in my lower back (away from the spinal cord thank goodness!!!) on July 30th. It should give me pretty instant relief so it's good, but I'm not looking forward to it. Just wanted to give you gals an update so you didn't think I was dying or anything!

Hey, Heather!! Hope the massage therapy works well.

I had the cortizone shots in my back in Jan...3 shots total...Surprisingly it doesn't hurt but really feels WEIRD!!! Unfortunately for me, the shots did not give instant or even 'over-time' relief but I truly hope they work for you (I had a herniated lower lumbar disk)

Well, if this first round doesn't work, we'll try again. I'm hoping the combination of the two will help. I've heard some good things about the corticosteroids so I'm hopeful.

So DH finally gives me my birthday present tonight (The Mickey and Friends Cricut Cartridge for scrapbooking) ... guess how he did it -- here's your birthday present. It's still in the AC Moore plastic bag, -- no gift wrap, no card...



So of course I say in my sarcastic manner, "Oh, look at this wrapping paper! It's really pretty." Then he just gives me a look and walks away.



It would have been nice if he at least wrapped it...I guess men don't think of these things...

I don't think DH has ever done that. He's always wrapped my presents. So far anyway...

well i would only say it in conversation with other people I worked with and when the manager or customers werent around... we had a guy who LOVED to call everyone by their name spelled backwards.. that was a fun job but I couldnt live on $4.50 + commision.. I will NEVER work on commision again..

I'd be so skinny if I worked on commission, because I'd never eat, no money!!! I'm too honest to work on commission. Shhhhh don't tell my boss!!!

Well, since I had a Vegas trip request... I'd LOVE to talk about it!!

I'm going with my best friend and then a friend of ours is meeting us there from LA. We're staying in the MGM Grand because I found this amazing promotion code which upgraded us to a fancy shmancy room for around $80 a night! Woo hoo!

Last Christmas I got up one morning and realized that DH had wrapped my presents in comics from the newspaper. I was mad. I made such an effort to wrap each kid's in a specific wrap that they picked out and used older paper that was running out for adults and kids that weren't our own. All the presents looked so pretty under the tree but I get up to find comic paper down there. I complained about it rather loudly and as soon as DH got home DD went off, "Daddy! You're not supposed to wrap Christmas presents in comics. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a birthday present but it looks like crap under the Christmas tree!" I think she quoted me word for word.
