Hey, do I smell a 2nd DIS meet??? MD Ren Faire????

Well, the current plan is for mom and I to go to the PA Ren Faire. I went last year and I LOVED it, so mom wants to go with me this year. :goodvibes

I've never been to the MD Ren Faire. How is it? Have you been to the PA Ren Faire? If so, how does it compare?

I'm going to go hop in the shower and get dressed in my finest wizard wear. :snooty: :lmao: I may be back after depending on when DH gets home from work! Love you all!

That's right, I remember you said that. I've only been to MD one.

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Honestly, DH doesn't really celebrate. I have a little fake Christmas tree. His folks celebrate more than he does. :confused3

Oh...so he doesn't celebrate Hanukkah at alll....did I get that right? You know I am slow...:lmao:

Do you guys exchange presents for Christmas?

I'm not telling what I told the reporter until I see if it makes it yet!!! ;)

As far as the childlike things I did... I got autographs, and I did hug characters, I might have skipped down main street. I think a lot of it was just little things like me being excited about seeing the castle. :goodvibes  I'll have to ask him again. :scratchin

They we're married for 2 years. She was a brat. He would go out, from home, just to get her a donut and she would complain that it was in a bag and not a box. :sad2: Thank goodness DH refused to have a kid with her towards the end! I wouldn't want to be dealing with her day to day.

Okay..If I must wait, I will...:rotfl2:

She does sound like a brat and a witch. Thank god he didn't have any kids with her...that would have been a nightmare.....

I told my DH your description of dorks and nerds and he liked it...he wanted to know where geeks fall...He describes himself as a geek and calls me a Disney Geek -- to which I still refute being a geek...I think of geeks as computer whizzes and I'm not one of them!

I read this book one time called Geek Love and that's when I found out that Geeks used to bite the heads off of chickens at side shows. I never thought the same way about computer geeks. :rotfl:

Quick definitions (geek)

noun: a person with an unusual or odd personality

when I told DH about the dork vs. nerd thing and then asked him about the geek thing, that is exactly what he said (the biting heads off chickens). I didn't think anyone else knew that!! :rotfl2:

You learn all sorts of things by reading! ;) Although my son (who is in the gifted and talented program by the way) has decided that reading books that don't have any pictures in them is boring. It's driving me crazy. My husband and I grew up reading tons of stuff and loving it and this kid will refuse to read even if it means he can't get his computer time. He found some Star Wars books at the library today that he seems to be excited about. His teacher was the one who pushed Harry Potter saying that he had a high enough reading level for it but his pediatrician stressed that kids have a tough time really grasping and getting into longer books until about the fourth grade. Heck, I would go out and buy him the whole dang series of any book he wanted if I honestly thought he would read them. Sorry, talking about reading makes me think of the little...

I'm with you...I love, love, to read books and always have at least 1 that I am reading, many times 2-4 at the same time.

One of the "parent emails" I get said that we should tell our children, "no, mommy can't do that now b/c I am doing something important right now -- reading. Why don't you go and read your book?" I like this idea since it (may) teach her that reading is important and the best part is that I actually get to read a little bit during the day.

well, I'm going to bed now -- busy day tomorrow

DD gets Pictures taken for her 2nd bday
Then DH and I go to the fertility doctor to plan our next steps!!
Dinner out with DH while parents take care of DD
My DSis and her family arrive around 6pm

HOpefully I'll get to Dis in there somewhere too!

I love to read, it's my favorite past time. I can read a novel in two days if I'm not side tracked. We were all readers in my house and most of us still are.

Yup! Some places had midnight showings. I SO would have gone to a midnight showing. Since DH is working, we're waiting until 8:00PM  But... I did go to the movie theater to pick up the tickets for tonight(so we don't have to worry about it selling out and we can eat dinner, etc.). I got there round 8:20 or so, the box office was suppose to open at 8:30AM. There was a newspaper reporter there talking to some ladies about the movie and the last book coming out next week. You know me, I couldn't keep my mouth shut and butted in a little, but apologized too. :rotfl: So I'll let you all know if I make it into the paper tomorrow! ;)

Nah, DH doesn't dress up. He was born at the age of 40. I have to bring out the kid in him. ;)

DH said it was SO special to see Disney through my eyes when we went last year because his ex-wife was a bratty nag when they went. I'm so childlike sometimes that it brought some of the Disney magic back to life for him! :sad1:(happy tear!)

(I'll be waiting for more questions!!!:rotfl:)

Aww, that's so sweet, he needed someone like you to bring him to life. I bet you did bring out the inner kid in him and I bet he loves it. That's sweet! :cutie:

I'm too "white" to be a rapper!:rotfl:The girls at work always laugh at me because I try using that type of slang, and I guess I don't quite say it right. :rotfl2:

I've never seen a Dork Rapper, lol (remember you called yourself that, not me) :rotfl2:
