I agree. I think that seven and nine year olds are too old to be taking a shower with their mother.

I thought it was just me! Glad you and Trentmom agree. I thought it was a little much and as far as checking them, they should be able to shower properly and maybe she can check their hands, ears and fingernails but other than that they should be able to handle it. If she can't shower with them she makes them go together and wash each other's backs and check each other. I think it's all a little weird!

I know cuz had to do a double.

Steph just ran to grandmas..

Trentmom and I love each other and enjoy chatting but we can chat on yahoo, we want the rest of you to come back here and talk to both of us.

I have a question for you ladies...

What do you think of a woman who lets her 7 and 9 year old boys shower with her? Now I am not a prude and I am not into making children think nudity is wrong but I do think that is too much, what do you think? The mom also says she has to wipe their butts and check them in the shower to be sure they wash correctly. Do you think they are old enough to do these things alone? I do but it's been a long tiime since I had 7 and 9 year olds and wanted another opinion?>??????:confused3

Not appropriate at all. The books I've been reading say to stop the nudity by 5 years old, if not sooner.

My friend Heather told me tonight that her step-sister (26 yrs) has a pre-teen (I forget the exact age but somewhere between 8 and 11) and they were over at Heather's house last night....anyway, the step-sister had her daughter in her lap the whole time while they watched a movie, constantly were touching (non-sexual) and kissing each other (cheeks and on the lips) ...

It made my friend very uncomfortable and she wanted our opinion on whether this was typical/appropriate behavior for mom and daughter. She said it was actually worse than 'teenagers in a park at night' (but from a non-sexual point of view).

She emphasized that they didn't go 3 minutes without touching each other on the shoulder or face or giving each other a kiss on the cheek, hand or lips.

So what do you think?

I say, no way and it sounds like mom is giving her affection that should be directed toward a BF and giving it to her DD instead.

Hey Jen...What is new in your neck of the woods??

Not much has been going on with me lately. I went out to run some errands with my mom this morning, took a nap this afternoon, and just finished watching the first episode of Big Brother. I'm really looking forward to next week. :cool1:

That doesn't like appropriate behavior for a mother and daughter to me.

I would take it as a joke...if she jumped on her lap and they kissed each other cheek playfully and were goofing...

But, it would last no longer than a minture.

Any longer than that, that is not right in my opinion

Something is not right about that. I don't know what it is, I can't put my finger on it but it just seems like a little much all that touching, kissing etc.

Yes, Joanna brought her kid...he was good for about the first hour and then he got 'grexy' so she left.

AND to top it off, we were just supposed to have cake after dinner to celebrate the 2 pregnant moms -- NO GIFTS! And 2 of the moms brought gifts anyway. I'm trying not to think the worst about them (like they did it on purpose since they were the ones who wanted to have showers)...

Ok, Steph -- here are some photos you asked for a while back -- some of the flowers I planted.

I won't give any details. :thumbsup2 In my opinion, it's going to be a really good season. This was the first time I saw the first episode of Big Brother. I started watching half-way through last summer and got hooked.

How old is her son? That was good that she left when he was getting crabby

Oh man....I would feel the same way about the two woman who brought gifsts, like they were rubbing it in the girls faces who didn;t want the gifts...

Hens and Chicks

What's cool about this is I bought it in 2005 (year DD was born) and it was just a Hen (one 'pointy ball' in the center). Then it got a bunch of chicks (all the pointy balls around it). Then in 2006 all the little chicks grew up and became hens themselves.

Then in early 2007, the 2nd hens became chicks. Then about 2-3 wks ago it started shooting these tubes up and they became flowers!!

The baby was born in late January...so he's about the oldest I think a baby should be to attend a MNO (IF you have to bring your kid...)

Tomorrow, or should I say today, I'll try to take some more photos of my yard/flowers.
