Dear Diary,

It has been almost 10 years since the 1994 Rwandan Genocide, yet in my mind it seems like it was just yesterday. I remember arriving in Rwanda thinking how beautiful everything was, but than I realized that nothing is as it seems. I was scared to make one wrong move or judgment, because I had no clue what would happen. I knew why I was there and what I was supposed to do. It all started when the Hutu’s saw the Tutsis as a threat. One race, against each other. Everywhere I looked, people were out of control. I should have known, that it was too late when I arrived., and nothing could have been done to stop the hatred of the Tutsis. I always said S'il y a volonté de a, il y a une manière.
