Well today was my first day ever going to public school and if all days are like this one it's going to be a long year.
Saved By the Bell lied to me.

Rule 1, don't listen to TV shows that are basically wrong in so many ways possible.

So...who here can give me advice about entering a public school for senior year despite never having been in a public/private school ever?

I found my old tie from the first half of high school (we had a different one for the second half).

Last November on the day Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 came out, loads of people in my year came in to school wearing it because it looks like the Gryffindor tie and the guys who had transferred from the all-boys school down the road were wearing their old tie because it looks like the Slytherin tie.
Cool story.

That's the same tie as my primary school tie...

I don't get why I like watching some movies. I'll like a Disney movie then the most mature movie ever. I'm messed up
You're not the only one, my favorite non-Disney movies are Rocky Horror and Repo! The Genetic Opera, which are both about as far from Disney as it's humanly possible to go.

Umm... well I've never been in this situation since I've been in Public School, my whole life, but I know a few kids who've been home-schooled, and they all seem to vary on how well they'd make the transition. If you have a friend already in public school, hang around them and usually the transition is smooth. If you don't, usually you'll have the guidance counselor or a few kids helping you out. So don't worry too much. :)

That is very true. I know Rocky Horror, not Repo but I definitely get it.

Repo's got like everything that could possibly get a movie an R-rating, all wrapped up into one. Violence, swearing, drug use, Paris Hilton... but the music is FANTASTIC. Just not very Disney, lol. The point is, though, you're not alone.

We didn't have a tie in primary school.
Now we don't have them in school either.
I mean, I obviously just were jeans and stuff, but like the lower years don't wear them anymore.

I had one for primary school and for secondary school. After that, I haven't worn one since. I hope I still remember to knot a tie...

I remember that everyone would have these really short ties, and I just don't understand why. It's probably a "defy the rules!" type of thing, but I always made sure the thick part of the tie was longer than the thin part, or else it looked odd.

I always wore a cardi, so you couldn't even see my tie so I wasn't bothered.
And I always complained at having to wear one when there was no point because I'm a girl and don't need practice on wearing one in the future for jobs and stuff. Then the year after I left, they finally realise it's stupid and get rid of the ties. -_-

psh, i hadda wear PE knickers. basically, another pair of knickers... in the summer for athletics. infront of all of the boys. so we took it to the school council (rebels! (; ) and when we come back in year 7 to talk to them about being in 'big school' and we come in, and they've introduced shorts for girls and we're just like -_-

TANGLED IS AMAZINGGGG

Yep, very anti-Disney. I love how you added Paris Hilton at the end. :lmao:

dayhuaxrtfcgkjml;ni today, straight after lunch, we did aerobics, and we DIDN'T STOP MOVING OUR LEGS FOR 1 HOUR STRAIGHT
and i'm not even exaggerating.
starjumps, high knees, jogging, stretching, marching, lots of different steps... it was fun, but my legs hurt SO MUCHHHH
i had such a bad stitch and i was sweating so much and i was wearing a polo shirt and cycling shorts :')

She's as bad as the others put together :rotfl:

Actually, her acting's not terrible... but that might have to do with the fact that she's playing a spoiled, skanky, drug-addicted heiress.

OOH YAY <333 That's my other favorite :goodvibes
