Dudette it was petrifying we were in hysterics!
So it was dark right and there's this bridlepath, there's no lights on it obviously and it's about a mile long. Well had we had the sense we'd have gone up it in the light and come back on the streetlight roads when it was dark but no silly me decided that we'd go the other way so when we came to the path it was pitch black. The first part of it is really overgrown with trees hanging over from either side. My friend was scared so she made me go infront, I took my friend down it yesterday at around the same time so I wasn't worried. Well firstly her pony refused to even step foot on the path despite the fact that mine had gone down there but we put it down to the deep mud scaring him, I wasn't turning back to ride on the roads again at rush hour! So we continue to walk down this steep hill and her pony is quite a bit behind and all I can hear is her whining about how scary it is so I said for goodness sake I came down here yesterday it's not like there's any murderers or paedophiles around and if there were we're on horses so they can't hurt us but as I said the word hurt her pony bolted past mine for no apparent reason squeezing me into a holly bush. So her pony galloped down this hill and strangely Comet followed (never have I known him take off when someone else has) luckily for the two of us a fallen tree stopped them at the bottom. Well needless to say the four of us were incredibly freaked out and shaking so after a bit of walking up a slippery hill I looked back and I swear to god that I could see a man standing on the path behind us and my friend swore we were being followed so once we got onto the flat and it opened up more we galloped till the end (I was in front and Comet is quite controlled luckily but my friend kept getting too close coz her horse is faster so he kicked out.)
Bloody hell it was scary, I get the feeling whilst it's dark we'll be sticking to roads!
