Dreadlock-clad Jessicka was the center of all the hype and attention that JOJ received. She delivered her vocals in an angelic to banshee-like voice and performed on-stage antics dressed in Goth or kinder***** attire, that included stripping young men on stage while the band and crowd taunted the exposed fans, as well as writing the word **** on her body, slicing her arms on-stage with a razor and covering the audience with multi colored spit, candy, and her own blood.[2] In early 1993, Jessicka and Manson formed Mrs. Scabtree.[3] Scabtree was a side project where Manson played drums, while Jessicka shared vocal duties with then boyfriend, Jeordie White, known later as Twiggy Ramirez.[4] In late December 1994, Jessicka spent a night in jail when she and Manson were arrested after a concert in Jacksonville, Florida, after being accused by the town's Christian Coalition for breaking the town's adult entertainment codes. Both singers were charged with misdemeanors.[5] Though Jessicka's onstage behavior was often labeled as shocking, she's never claimed to be a shock rocker. In fact, Jack Off Jill had more in common musically with riot grrl acts such as Babes in Toyland and Bikini Kill than they did with Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids, with whom Jack Off Jill would later be constantly compared.[6] It did not help that after a four year relationship, then boyfriend Twiggy Ramirez, began to mimic Jessicka's dress and appearance, making critics' comparisons draw even closer. At this time Jessicka increasingly cut herself on and off stage, which earned her the title of Patron saint of self injury, a line that would later resurface in the lyrics to Jack Off Jill's song, "When I Am Queen".[7]

Framing Hanley's version? Or Lil Wayne's (sp?)

The radio station I listen to plays Framing Hanley's version a lot, it's annoying. I hate that song because of it's lyrics...

Lil' Wayne. I can't stand that sort of music.

And I don't love Queen, persay, but it's certainly not the worst.

How can you be a hater of twilight and hsm if they didn't exist in 1993?

I hate rap...the station I listen to plays rock so they play the rock version of that song...lol.

My aunt (not the one I'm staying with right now...) and my uncle are moving...they're leaving after Thanksgiving. They're going to keep there house here, they have like three of them! I think my uncle's a spy...my aunt (his wife) doesn't know what he does...and she sent me an e-mail that was meant for my other aunt and it said that she didn't know what he does either...I told my sister and my mother that and my sister was like,"He's a spy!" lol.

They're moving to Virginia. My aunt (the one I'm staying with right now) said I should go visit them (and like take a plane...) there's no way in hell I'm getting in a plane, lol.

It's just because I was born in 1993. Instead of just "since 1993", I decided to include the hater bit.

Doesnt make any sense.

You cant hate something if it doesnt exist :D

I was typing my last post when the post before mine was posted, I think.

I'm gonna go to bed now. Night!

Urban rebranding doesn't always bring success. The Scotswood and Benwell area of Newcastle has had many attempts at rebranding since WWII. In the 1960s and 1970s, some of the low quality Victorian housing in the area was demolished and council estates replaced them. There have been a lot of policy initiatives like the Urban Aid in the 1960s and the Single Regeneration Budget in the 1990s. As Newcastle deindustrialised, a combination of very low skill levels, few local jobs, low incomes and poor public transport has taken it's toll on the area. The 2001 census showed that 13,759, or 5%, of Newcastle's population lives in the Scotswood and Benwell area. 45% of that has no qualifications and unemployment is around 70% higher then the Newcastle average. Many people who can leave, have left. Around a 1/3 of the population had fallen over 2 years. Many people believe that there's been no regeneration in the area, but just demolition and people moving out. There are frequent complaints that although local residents have been 'consulted', they have been ignored, as top-down policies seek to clear away the old housing, to gentrify the areas. This leads to a new incoming class of residents to replace the older residents. In 2007, the Council launched a new approach to rebrand Scotswood and Benwell. It involves 'growing' the prosperity of the city centre westward. There will be a launch of the Discovery Quarter, the UK's first Housing Expo. There are also plans to building a Science City on the Scottish & Newcastle Brewery site.
